Explora Watersports is one of the only watersports centres located right at the beach at the optimum spot for surfing. Our team are fully qualified and we have new equipment each year. We are a family run business who's aim is to ensure you have a great time on and off the water.

For your lesson it will be 2 of you with one instructor so you will progress faster. If you are a beginner the course will first focus on your balance and then the pop to your feet, understanding the waves the right waves to catch and the optimum point to catch the waves. We then look at your posture and stance to extend your time on the board riding the wave. If you have already surfed before you both meet the instructor before your lesson so you can explain your level and experience, he will then agree the focus and objectives for the course. You can join us for one lesson or a whole week of lessons.

Had an amazing time at Explora learning Kitesurfing. The instructors and the staff are super nice, welcoming and always helpful. I was lucky having Youssef as my instructor, who is really the best. Totally recommended and I’ll definitely come back again.

Three days surf course with children aged 15 and 9 Ismail was an excellent instructor and was able to involve even the little Too bad I only had three days

Our travel agent booked our surf lessons with an English speaking instructor, for three days. The first day we were joined by another guest. Our instructor was a bit too hands off for us. He was cheery enough but didn’t do much except show us a way of getting up the board. Then it was up to us. I got cold so was offered another wetsuit to wear which helped. It was fun to try but I really wanted more instruction. On our second day we were given Imad Karim as our instructor. He was excellent. I think surfing is in his soul through and through. His English was excellent. He showed us a different way to stand up which really helped. He was in the water with us, giving us excellent help about how to choose a wave and when to stand up. We improved no end. The last day we had Imad again which was so good. The continuity really helped. My husband got so much better and I think wants to go back. Thank you Imad for sharing your energy and passion with us. And thank you Explora for running such a slick operation. We would definitely recommend you

Very nice, patient and flexible team! We had wing and surf lessons. Thanks to Ismael I can now surf and have a lot of fun! I'll definitely be back soon!

Abderrahman guided us through this beautiful experience in Essaouira helping us level up. I highly recommend him and the school. Everyone is very nice and welcoming

My father and I took a surflesson with Abderrahman and he was extremely helpful. His way of explaining things were for all levels understandable. Two hours were perfect for beginners because it’s really tiring. Can recommend him to anyone!

I tried surfing with Explora for the first time. What an amazing experience, I would definitely recommend taking your lessons from them. Explora has a unique atmosphere, the instructors are very experienced, knowledgeable and passionate about their job, which ensures that you have an efficient and very enjoyable lesson. I spent about 10 days in Essaoura and Explora became my happy place. Dear Explora family, see you again at the first opportunity. Thank you for everything ❤️

An ideally located spot, a very friendly team, everything takes place in joy and good humor. Special dedication to Essaoui, our very attentive instructor, who has made us discover wind foil with a professionalism and a lot of generosity!
