Our secluded beach is the ultimate place to learn to surf with the best company in Costa Rica. No worries about 100s of other surfers around you and Playa Grande is a beautiful beach as well. The waves are awesome for beginners to intermediate surfers and we only surf around the high tide to give you the best possible waves. We take special care in every customer to make sure they have the best day of their vacation and take 150-250 pictures and video to prove it.

This is a semi private surf lesson for 2-3 people-Please note price is for 2 people-if a 3rd joins we collect $50 at the beach. It is especially ideal if you have young children or if you want some personal attention. You will have your own private instructor for your over 2 hour lessons (unlike the other schools which are only 90 minutes), which begins with a 10 minute land lesson before going out for 45 minutes to an hour. After a 10 minute break where we provide you with fresh pineapple and ice water,we head back out for the last hour of the lesson. You will be catching your own waves in no time as our instructors are the best in Costa Rica and they make sure you have fun. We take children as young as 4-our instructors are amazing with children and we have had beginners as young as 75 out. At our secluded beach, we are the only ones there and you avoid the crowded, rocky areas of Tamarindo (we are right across from Tamarindo). Our beach is a sand walk out with no rock - perfect for beginners and children with great waves as well! We also take 150-250 professional pictures of your lesson and video as well (extra). The only surf company in Costa Rica to offer that.

The hosts were amazing! Friendly, welcoming, energetic and encouraging! They provided the BEST snacks mid way thru our surf lessons. Our actual surf instructor”Dogo” was the BEST!!! He climbed up the tree twice and provided up with fresh coconut water!

This was our first surfing experience and it was AMAZING!! The team was the best, very personable, and we all were so comfortable!! Great price! I definitely recommend Mojo Surf if you are in this area!! The fresh pineapple and homemade banana bread he gives you were a plus and sooo good!!

This was a great experience for my family. Not only was everything well organized with an amazing staff, but they managed to get both my 6 year old and 9 year old up riding waves within 10 minutes. Great fruit and banana bread at the end(meant for a break but my kids had so much fun they didn’t want to take a break). Recommend!

Mojo Surf Adventures was absolutely the highlight of our trip! Tim was so kind and accommodating. He also provides amazing banana bread, so delicious. Definitely do the picture package. He will send you 100+ pictures that are great to show your friends. Our only regret is that we only did the Mojo surf lessons for 1 day. I wish we had done these lessons 3 or 4 days! Thanks, Tim, for taking care of my family. It was so much fun.

We had a great 2 hour lesson. Tim the owner did a great job coordinating and telling us about some other great things to do in the area and Joel our instructor was kind, patient and informative. My husband and I were both catching waves by ourselves before break! Great experience and worth every penny.

Tim and his crew are awesome! They are all great instructors and so inviting and friendly. Tim brought banana bread and pineapple for snacks and took amazing pictures!

Had my 2 kids do a 2hr surf lesson with Mojo surf adventures. Tim was very professional and welcoming, as well as his excellent surf instructor. They had a great time and both got up standing on their surf boards. Tim also takes great professional quality photos of them during their lessons for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend giving them a call. Thanks again Tim for a great experience!
