You will meet your guide and begin your small group semi-private tour at the antique Rialto Fish Market, a UNESCO preserved patrimony, and one of the most ancient and picturesque parts of the city! Venice culinary traditions are much centred around seafood, the great majority of which has been (and still is) delivered to this antique market for centuries. As you explore the stands, listen to the sounds of the market, observe locals as they bargain, and see a phenomenal variety of seafood (perhaps even some you've never seen before!), you will surely feel like a true Venetian.

Thirsty and hungry for a snack after your market experience? No problem! Following your opening adventure you will then stroll through the city, taste cicchetti and sip on prosecco at two of Venice's most authentic cicchetti bars. Cicchetti are classic Venetians finger food snacks that the locals eat from mid morning throughout the day and which are usually accompanied by prosecco. At this point hop on a gondolino (a small gondola) and cross the canal to enjoy your last cicchetti stop in Venetian style! By the end of this extravagant food experience you will definitely feel like a local yourself, and are sure to bring back some ever lasting memories, in your taste buds too!

5.00Alessia was extremely knowledgeable about history, architecture, culture, food & drink. We were grateful she shared her gondolier family history with us and thoroughly enjoyed every bite & sip. She accommodated our 3 yr old (even a short tantrum) and the pacing of the tour was relaxed and comfortable. A highlight of our trip!

5.00Best tour. We wanted to experience a food tour from “family owned businesses” off the beaten path from a venetian perspective and that’s exactly what we got. It included delicious wines/ drinks and some foods prepared like you might have found generations ago like from the 1400. An experience not to be missed. Barbara was excellent.

She guided us through three wonderful cicchetti spots, each with its own charm and flavor, weaving in stories of Venice’s history, food, and people as naturally as if she were introducing us to old friends. Barbara’s warmth, humor, and deep local knowledge made every bite and every glass of wine feel special. And just when we thought the evening couldn’t be any better, she surprised us with the richest, most heavenly hot chocolate — the perfect Venetian finale. 5.00Our family of six (all adults) took the Market & Cicchetti Venice Food and Wine Tour on our first full day in Venice, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Our guide, Daniela, was an absolute pleasure to spend the morning with. As a local, she shared so much knowledge about the market, seasonal produce, seafood, Venetian food culture, and the history of Venice itself. The tour was educational, fascinating, and, of course, delicious! We especially enjoyed strolling through the quieter backstreets while Daniela pointed out details and shared insights along the way. The short gondola ride was icing on top of the cake! This was truly one of our favorite experiences in Italy. Thank you, Daniela (and LivTours Venice), for a memorable morning in Venice!
