Melbourne does not reveal itself all at once — it is discovered through hidden laneways, local stories, rich aromas and unforgettable flavours.

This private walking tour is designed for travellers who want to understand Melbourne on a deeper level while enjoying a real taste of the city. Explore atmospheric laneways, historic arcades, street-art corners, cafés, bars and tucked-away foodie spots as your guide shares stories of the migrants, artists and creators who shaped Melbourne.

Along the way, enjoy roasted coffee, pastries, dumplings, Asian flavours, Italian favourites, desserts, local wines, craft beer or cocktails. The route can be shaped around casual cosy places or more elegant venues.

Before the tour, we’ll contact you to understand your tastes, dietary needs, budget and preferences. If you would prefere, the route may also include Queen Victoria Market, or an Asian-only tasting experience.

Price includes guiding service only. Food and drinks are paid directly by guests.

This was a fantastic way to get oriented to Melbourne. What a great city! Ben was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Melbourne, had great stories to share, and made sure I saw parts of the city the big tours don’t take you to. He was also very flexible. Highly recommend!

Wonderful tour combining Melbourne’s history with various landmarks and neighborhoods. Ben was personable, interesting and good company to share a beverage with at a stop. The walking tour was a great way to get an introduction to the city and we loved the little alleys full of restaurants and shopping.

Ben is lovely and his tour was fantastic! I felt like being at home with Ben. I walked around Melbourne CBD and visited lots of cool stuff that I wouldnt have known about otherwise. Next time in Melbourne I will surely book his other tours too.

I live in Sydney and have been in Melbourne few times, this time I had some free time so decided to jump on this walking tour with Bahman. The tour was amazing and after doing that I felt that I have been living in Melbourne for long time! Bahman is very knowledgeable and friendly and the tour is well designed and organised!
