We fly from June to November in Kogatende. For a lifetime experience such as this, you want to make sure you fly with the best. Since the 1970s, we’ve been crafting exceptional balloon safaris and the memories we create are a combination of our long experience, our attention to detail and our desire to make your flight with us truly extraordinary. Each flight is a different journey dictated by the direction of the wind, where the sights and sounds rise from the ground to meet you. We know where we’ve started but we don’t know where we will return to earth. This is part of the adventure. Sometimes the basket will be gently brushing the tips of the grass and sometimes it will be climbing, climbing through the layers of air until you’re high enough to see the curve of the horizon, painted gold and pink by the early sun. Each flight lasts for approximately 1 hour and we celebrate with a champagne toast before enjoying a sumptuous 'full-english' breakfast under an acacia tree.

We fly from Mid-December to the end of March every year in Ndutu. For a lifetime experience such as this, you want to make sure you fly with the best. 5.00This is a once in a lifetime expedience. Originally when our excellent Safari operator ( Thomson Safari’s) suggested this. we declined as my husband was nervous about Ballon rides. But after reading other reviews here about the high level of safety and experienced pilots, we decided to sign up for this experience. So my message is, if anyone is at all concerned or afraid of heights… just forget about it and just DO IT. First class operation on all levels. Pilots are amazing human beings. You won’t regret it and you will look back and realize how much you would have missed. A balloon ride over the Serengeti is the #1 place to go if one wants a once in a lifetime experience in a balloon. Nature from the air! Unforgettable.

5.00Flying over Serengeti National Park in a hot air balloon is a truly memorable experience. The level of service provided by Serengeti Balloon Safaris was outstanding from start to finish—from the clear briefing given at the lodge the day before, to the private pick-up in the early morning. Enjoying a hot coffee while watching the balloon being prepared set the tone perfectly. The flight itself was smooth and serene, offering breathtaking views of the sunrise and animals on the move below. The experience concluded with an excellent bush breakfast in a beautiful setting. Our pilot, Abeid, was highly experienced and generously shared his passion and knowledge both during and after the flight. This balloon safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that combines flawless organization, stunning scenery, and a deep connection with the Serengeti. Watching the sunrise and wildlife from above is simply unparalleled and highly recommended for all visitors.

5.00Excellent! Wow! It was a beautiful safari view! We saw beautiful safari animals like hippos, birds, cheetah, elephants, buffalo etc - it was an amazing! I went to portable toliet - it was beautiful view! Lovely smell soap and warm water! Lovely breakfast and champagne! Thank you!

2.00I've never ridden a balloon before and I can say I've already climbed a balloon. The pilot really was great. He was running the balloon as he wanted. A lot of experience. He did his best to make us all enjoy the flight. He gave security instructions. Oh, great. Explained and was very aware of all security measures. But the grade I give is low because to be able to do the balloon trip we were picked up at 3:30 in the morning and after doing two hours of driving on a road we made the flight with the bad luck that we saw hardly any animals, which really was the interesting thing

5.00Jeff was our “pilot” of the hot air balloon. We had a great experience, it was really beautiful to observe nature and the different animals with the view from above. You can take binoculars but it is not mandatory, you can see very well with the naked eye. Jeff is very nice and gives us good explanations. After that we were treated to a breakfast, served by waiters in traditional dress, the service was professional. Our driver was Fredy, super nice, kind, helpful and a very good driver! If you have the means I advise you to live this beautiful experience 😍
