IMPORTANT: Please note that the booking fee charged here is solely to reserve your spot, as the tour itself operates on a tips-based model, meaning you decide how much your guide deserves for their hard work. We suggest a tip of 200-250 RMB or 25-30 USD/EURO, which we believe is a fair amount compared to the cost of a regular walking tour:) This voluntary tip is a way to recognize your guide's efforts and helps us maintain this exciting job!

5.00Celina took us on a very nice tour from peoples Square to the Bund with historic background and very interesting stories. I recommend to do the tour at the beginning of your SH visit because you will receive a lot of helpful and interesting hints/ advices what else you can do.

5.00We had a fabulous walking tour with Viola from @freetourschina today - around Shanghai and the Bund, with lots of history thrown in. Viola guided us around expertly and pointed out great snack locations. She was very knowledgable and upbeat the whole tour. We truly enjoyed the experience and the time flew by! We are now in love with Shanghai!

5.00I highly recommend this tour. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable - it was more of a fun tour (as opposed to an in-depth history tour), which was fine for me. You are expected to pay for the tour via tip - so remember to bring cash or use phone payment app for tip :)

5.00Wonderful 4 hour walking tour with Celina, who led us through the major spots of Shanghai Concession area. She patienly guided us and showed us old photos of Shanghai too. We ate a tasty qian-bing (crispy pancake stuffed with veg, ham, cheese, potato) for only RMB 17. Very enjoyable and highly recommended tour! 5.00Amazing walking tour, well worth doing. Audrey was our guide, she is very knowledgable, friendly and made it super interactive. We were shown lots of interesting sights, giving us interesting facts or local knowledge about an area. The food stop was really good, try the pancakes! They are big and delicious. At the end of the tour Audrey gave us recommendations for restaurants and bars. Definitely worth doing to see parts of Shanghai!
