Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago. Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area. After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

5.00It was our best experience of a week in China. The communication with the company was good. Our guide Snow picked us up from the Shanghai bazaar. The car was impeccable, the driver Shen was very professional and helpful. The walking tour was substantial with a beautiful boat ride. Memorable visit to the Ma garden. We did some unexpected shopping and Snow assisted with it. The dinner was delicious. We had an afternoon tour just before flying back. It left us with warm feelings of China. Thank you!

5.00This tour was just what I wanted to visit Zhujiaiao. Because we had already seen many of the sights in Shanghai I didn't want to go on a longer tour. The length of this one was perfect. Kalvin and the driver picked us up at our hotel at 10:00 am sharp. The car was very clean and comfortable, and the driver was highly competent. Kalvin was very knowledgeable and a great host. We had a delicious lunch and had a thoroughly pleasant day. On a side note, Kalvin pointed out a restroom to use before the long drive back to the city. It was spotlessly clean, and I was pleased to see that the accessible cubical at the far end had a western toilet!

5.00We had such a wonderful day with Snow! She handled every detail perfectly and shared so much fascinating history with us. You can tell she really knows her stuff. Huge thanks also to our driver for being so accommodating and waiting for us during our shopping spree. Highly recommend this team!

5.00From the pick up to drop off we were well looked after and nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful guide Snow. Not only was she very knowledgeable but she was great company as well. An excellent representative for your company. A true 5 star performance. Jiajia our driver was excellent and we felt very safe and enjoyed our experience.

5.00Great tour! They picked us up at our hotel very punctual and our tour guide was great, very enthusiastic, 100/10. The Water Town is very beautiful, def worth visiting. Lunch was delicious, we had a great time!

5.00Jane was an excellent guide. Zhujiajiao is a fascinating adventure out of the city, to enjoy peace and nature. Mr Ma's garden is more beautiful than Yu Garden in town. The shopping streets are varied and interesting. We went to lunch at an upstairs restaurant, and they took care of my food allergies, still having an excellent meal. So you know there is a lot of walking, and like Venice, bridges to cross the canals involve stairs. Great day, great day.

5.00We took the half day tour of Zhujiajiao from Shangai - booked it with Miss Alana and despite our last min requests , she handled it super efficiently and booked it as per our requirements with an English speaking guide and within the timing we wanted. Our guide was called Mr Zheng . He was simply amazing ! From the moment we met him - he had so much history and information to share . He was very kind and gentle - I would say somewhat fatherly as well as he took such good care of us ! He spoke excellent English and we bonded well . Our driver , Miss Li - was super efficient, polite plus reliable and she drove us in an amazing car- that was super comfortable. To top it off , this place ( Zhujiajiao) is so pretty - I did not know much about this place as I hadn’t researched ( our trip to Shangai was short) but I am so glad we heard about it from a friend and managed to see this beautiful , amazing place that takes you back in time . We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shanghai.
