This half-day private tour can be started either in the morning or afternoon, and all entrance fee, private guide and transfer service are inclusive. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago. Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area. After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

5.00We were fortunate to have Kalvin as our guide for our private shore excursion. He shared a wealth of introductory information with us from the moment we were picked up at the port and throughout the drive to the Water Town as our driver proved a safe and comfortable ride for us. The town itself inclusive of the canal boat ride is an amazing look into China’s past and culture.

5.00The entire experience was amazing. From the beginning to the end. The driver was very nice. The car was comfortable and relaxing. Snow checked in with us a few days before and let us know if the weather or the crowd was going to be bad. She even asked if we needed food accommodations which was very refreshing since people in our party were vegetarian. The restaurant food was sooooo good. It was one of the best meals we had since arriving in Shanghai. Snow didn't rush us when we wanted to stop and take pictures or even shop. She helped us get the best prices on our souvenirs. She even gave us recommendations on where to go for other things that we wanted to do. We had such an amazing experience that we will definitely book with her again. We highly recommend this experience and if you can go VIP.

5.00We did the visit with Snow. It is was very interesting as she shared a lot of interesting information about the gardens and also about Shanghai. She is very friendly, communicative and very knowledgeable. The driver was also excellent and the car was very comfortable. We highly recommend using Snow and her agency and will definitely use them again on our next trip to Shanghai.

5.00⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had the most amazing experience with our guide Snow today and cannot recommend her highly enough. We are visiting from Australia on a China trip with a group of friends, and Snow truly went above and beyond to make our day special. She even arranged a private driver for us, which made the whole experience so smooth and comfortable for all four of us. Snow is extremely fluent in English, very kind, gentle, and soft-spoken, and she explained everything clearly while also giving us plenty of time to enjoy each place. What really impressed us was that even after the tour officially ended, she continued to take care of us. She brought us to a lovely local jewellery shop, helped us find a great restaurant to try authentic local food, and after sending off the driver, she even came with us to another attraction we wanted to visit. Because it was hard to catch a DiDi, she stayed and joined us to see the capybaras in the city! Her service was far beyond what we expected from a tour guide. We felt truly looked after the entire day and are very grateful for her kindness and dedication. This was one of the highlights of our trip to China. Thank you so much, Snow!

5.00We had a very good experience on our private tour of Zhujiajiao Water Town on January 23. Our guide, Kalvin, provided excellent service throughout the day and kept the atmosphere light, friendly, and enjoyable, which made the experience even better. Zhujiajiao itself is very quaint and charming, and we were lucky to visit on a chilly but sunny day, which made walking around especially pleasant. The booking process through Viator was also very smooth, with clear updates from the agent right up until we met Kalvin, which was reassuring and well organized. One area that could be improved is pricing. While we appreciated being picked up in a Tesla sedan, a larger and more comfortable vehicle would have been preferable for a private tour at this price point. Overall, a very enjoyable and well-run tour, and we would still recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed visit to Zhujiajiao with a friendly guide.
