The waters of Icy Strait near Hoonah Alaska is generally calm. The fishing is close by and we don't need to travel far to start fishing. The added bonus is the marine wildlife that is in area. Most of our fishing trips encounter humpback whales.

We will be aboard a boat to travel to fishing grounds. The target species will be halibut or salmon. Pick up starts at docking facility and the drive to boats is 1.5 miles. You will see the center of the village on drive.
