We booked a tour with Carlos with our group of 14 people and it was absolutely great value for money. Carlos knows a lot about Vejer and the surroundings and about sherry. On Sunday we went with him to Montenmedio to see modern art in a gorgeous park. Great experience again.

We had a great food & sherry tour with Carlos in Vejer! He was an excellent host and guide of this really enjoyable town. You will not go hungry (or thirsty) on this tour. We were a group of 9 with ages ranging from 40s–80s. Carlos made it all work for everyone. I would highly recommend doing this tour, but even if you can't, Vejer is a great day trip. It's a beautiful location and not nearly as overrun with tourists as many other (better known) towns.
Highlight of our visit to Vejer. Packed with information, fun and utterly delicious.

Carlos was so knowledgeable and charming. His tour was the highlight of our trip to Vejer. We have been to Vejer many times, but wanted some more history and context. Sherry tasting at Bodega Manuel Aragon, was simply outstanding; fascinating and utterly delicious. Carlos must have talked for nearly 6 hours; he answered every question, and we learned so much! The tapas was wonderful, as always, in Vejer. The tour to Trafalgar and the walk around Vejer with bonus access to the castle were so special. Thank you Carlos, & apologies it has taken us so long to write the review.

My sister, auntie, mom and I booked a private tapas and sherry tasting walking tour with Carlos this past month and had the best time! Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about the history, nature and culinary scene in and around Vejer de la Frontera. He was flexible with the schedule and was always checking in to make sure we were having a good time. The food and sherry we tasted was incredible and spending time with Carlos felt like a day out with an old friend :) He even made a pit-stop on the way back to our hotel so that we could see the beach. Thank you so much for everything Carlos and team! Hopefully we will get a chance to visit the area again and take another tour! -Michaela and family

If you make it to Vejer la Frontera you must make time to explore it with Carlos! We did a private walking historical tour and then a tapas/sherry tour afterwards. HIs passion and knowledge of history, food, and sherry is impressive and he shared it with both humor and love. The tour and place were one of the highlights of our 3 week trip to Spain. Had we known how fun his tours were we would have stayed longer and done some of the other ones. He was very flexible with us and customized the day to our interests.

We did the sherry and tapas tour with Carlos and also a day hike in El Estrecho and tour of Baelo Claudia. He also set us up to spend a half day in Aracena to see the Iberian pigs and how the ham is processed. Carlos is a great guy, well organised and his communication was fantastic. Just do it! Spend some time in beautiful Vejer and El Estrecho with Carlos. It is one of our highlight days of our month long trip in Andalusia! Thanks Carlos!

Excellent! Definitely recommend! We did a custom tour with Carlos which included a sherry tasting. We told him of our interest in history and of previous visits to the area. Carlos knows his history well. We did not have a car and he picked us up in Cádiz. He took us to the beautiful village of Vejer de la Frontera. (not our first white village but the most beautiful) He told us much about the history and accommodated our interest in a small shop of old radios. The big eye opener was the visit to a Sherry bodega. This sherry tasting opened my eyes and we tasted something not experienced before. It was a small operation but produced sherries that I am still raving about with food pairings that were perfect .

Set in the gorgeous town of Vejer de la Frontera, this tour includes delicious and varied tapas, perfectly matched with different types of sherry. Carlos is very passionate and knowledgeable about food and sherry but also about lots of other subjects, always willing to share information. I would highly recommend this tour. And I would have no hesitation in contacting him again to book one of his "ruta de senderismo"

This was SUCH a fun evening. Tapas and lots of different sorts of sherry in a fantastic tasting form / we had ours in one venue but you can also do it as a tour of lots of venues - Carlos is charming and so knowledgeable. Don’t miss this incredibly fun and informative way to spend an evening!

Carlos had been recommended to us by friends who had enjoyed one of his tours recently. Booking was very easy and we were contacted swiftly to confirm arrangements. We received a warm welcome in Plaza de España & were invited to confirm our knowledge of Sherry, which, as near novices, meant we got the full rundown on its origins, cultivation & fermentation. Wandering around the walled town, sampling 5 varieties with accompanying tapas along the way was a great introduction to Vejer & some of it’s history. Carlos’s passion for sherry ensured we learned a lot more about it but his warm personality also allowed us to have a conversation about other mutual interests such as travel. We highly recommend joining one of these tours.
