The Lodberrie
One of Shetland's most photographed buildings, the Lodberrie is the home of DI Perez, standing next to Bain's Beach where he was seen drinking whisky with Duncan and offering Cass some fatherly advice. Please note the Lodberrie is a private residence and cannot be entered. We ask that you respect the privacy of the residents.
Lerwick
We make a stop at the police station and county buildings, the exterior of which appeared as Lerwick Police Station in the series.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our Shetland tour with Maureen, who is knowledgeable and super friendly. She was able to condense our scheduled 8-hour tour into 6 due to time constraints. She showed us many more things than we had anticipated. Though the tour was based around the TV show Shetland, Maureen also talked about the islands’ history going back to the Vikings. Very informative, and we plan to live stream Up Helly Aa in January 2026. Our stop at the original Cake Fridge was delightful! We would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Maureen, for sharing Lerwick and Shetland with us! Keith & Laurie F

5.00The trip with our guide, Hilary, was wonderful. Both a survey of filming locations for “Shetland” and a confirmation that the show is quite accurate in depicting the close knit and friendly nature of this island race- if not its murder rate! This tour is a great way to appreciate the diversity of landscapes and the warmth of its people- absolute highlight being the convenience store featured in Season 7, run by the ebullient Leslie! The Shetland TV series is a marvel but doesn’t even compare to its namesake. Highly recommend you let Hilary show you why.
