Punta Tombo
We start the tour with an approximate trip of 2 hours to Punta Tombo. At the first stop we will be able to observe the replica of the largest dinosaur in the world found in our province (15 minutes). We will continue our itinerary until we arrive at the most important penguin colony in the American continent. (30 minutes approx). Finally we will visit the Punto Tombo Penguin Colony (2 hours approx) In the area you can see Magellanic penguins and we can also see guanacos, piches, maras and other species
Puerto Madryn
After visiting the reserve, we begin our return to Puerto Madryn (2 hours approx) where, if time is sufficient, we can take a city tour, visiting the most important points of our beautiful coastal city. with a duration of 1 hour

5.00The journey there and back is 2h each and you get to spend about 90mins at Punta Tombo with the penguins and guanacos. There are so many penguins and the babies too. Definitely worth going. The admission fees is ARS25, 000 or USD25. It's not included in the tour price so get ready the amount beforehand for the tour guide.
More penguins here than we saw in Antarctica!

5.00Our trip to Punta Tombo was FANTASTIC! Yes, it’s far! A little over two hour drive into Patagonia but worth the experience. This colony of Magellanic Penguins is the largest colony in South America. You can get so close unlike on the cruise ship we were on in Antarctica! They are so adorable. We couldn’t stop taking photos and videos of those beautiful birds. Our tour guide, Tina, was very knowledgeable and shared so much about the region and wildlife on our drive down. We had 16 in our group which was smaller than the ship excursions. We saw lizards, lots guancos (llama like animal), birds, and a wild cat - probably a puma. We stopped on the way back to port for quick photos at the largest dinosaur ever found location (huge model) and at the Puerto Madryn sign above the city! Recommend this trip!!!

5.00We went on a group tour yesterday and the guide was Fernanda. She gave a very detailed explanation of the sights and wildlife we will be seeing and she also handle the logistics well, ensuring we have a smooth and pleasant experience.

5.00It’s a 5 hour round coach trip but well worth it to see the penguins. We also saw Argentinian llamas, reas, birds of prey and wild horses along the way! Our tour guide was knowledgable and very friendly as she described the history of the area as well as the nature/animals. The lunch box was also of good quality and variety.

5.00Amazing trip. I know it's sacrilege but I'm not even a penguin fan, but Mariana was super knowledgeable and made the trip extremely fun. She let us touch a penguin skull and fin and told us all sorts of interesting facts. Her enthusiasm made the trip more enjoyable. We had 2hrs at Tombo which was more than enough time. On the way back we had a lunch .. two sandwiches (one ham and cheese and one chicken), chocolate muffin, banana, crackers, and granola bar.. a lot of food. At Tombo, there were plenty of penguins and guanacos. The views were also amazing Would 100% recommend

4.00It was a good tour and the guide was informed about the area (sound system could have been better). Our guide was sure to make us aware that we were to stay 2 meters from the penguins, some other tours didn’t! Lunch was 2 sandwiches which I thought was a lot I think one would have been sufficient. The description in the web was accurate, they do mean 2 hours to the reserve and 2 hours back, something to consider!

5.00The penguin experience was incredible. Bus ride was two hrs and over some pretty rough roads but worth it. Our guide however had such broken English she was impossible to follow, or understand. That part was very disappointing.

5.00Long trip. 2.5 hours one way. Mind boggling number of penguins some with nests very close to boardwalk. Also guanaco and mara.
