Welcome to a truly unique paddle boarding experience—where adventure meets nature in the heart of the mangroves. Your adventure begins with a quick paddle boarding introduction, where our friendly guides will go over basic techniques and safety tips—perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Once you're comfortable on your board, we’ll set off into the calm, protected waters of the mangrove forest. We’ll take our time exploring narrow channels and open lagoons, stopping occasionally to rest, take photos, and soak in the peaceful surroundings. The pace is relaxed, allowing you to connect with nature, ask questions, and fully enjoy the experience. As the sun begins to set and the sky shifts to twilight, your paddle board tour transitions into something truly enchanting. After exploring the mangrove waterways, we’ll glide into quieter areas just as the light fades—right when the fireflies begin to appear. You’ll watch in awe as the darkness comes alive with thousands of tiny flickering lights. The fireflies create a sparkling display that reflects off the water, surrounding you with a natural light show that feels like something out of a dream.

I booked this experience last minute as I had a free afternoon alone, and I’m very glad I did. The guide Lori was punctual, helpful and friendly. She picked me up on scooter from my hotel and we did the paddle board activity in the mangroves first. It was very quiet and peaceful, and I would recommend for people who are confident with water and enjoy nature. They are different to mangroves (no smell here) in other parts of the world as the water level is high and clears the waterways regularly. After paddling back, we went for a drink at a nearby beach bar and waited for the sunset - some good drinks there and nice atmosphere. Once the sun had set, our boatman turned up with a small paddleboat and we went back out to the edge of the mangroves. I thought we’d go further inside the waterways to get away from light pollution but it was still possible to see the fireflies dancing. There was also a bit of bioluminescent plankton in the water, which was fascinating to see. Given it was just me on the trip (as no one else had booked that day), it was an intimate private experience and one I really enjoyed. Thank you so much!
