Sima de las Cotorras
The Sima de las Cotorras is a natural depression of 150 meters. deep and more than 200 meters. wide, on this tour we will do some Adventure Tourism activities such as 150 m Rappel. to the interior of the chasm, a tour at the bottom of the chasm where a different microclimate develops from that of the outside and we can appreciate its unique flora and fauna; We will also find some archeological vestiges of the Zoque culture and observe some cave paintings on the walls of the chasm. To get out of it we will walk on the edge of a path over 100 meters. high and we will end this tour with a typical meal of the region.

5.00It is a beautiful place, it is a little difficult to get to, you have to use GPS. The place is small, but there are many activities, all activities have an extra cost, you can walk around it, that route is very beautiful and seeing and listening to the parrots is spectacular.

5.00I had initially booked another tour with Jungla Experience, but due to the heavy rain, it was cancelled. Ramon from Jungla recommended that I join this tour instead, and boy am I glad I did! We started at 4am in the morning with a beautiful journey to the Chiapas region, with the first activity being a flight on delta wing. It was a truly amazing and one-of-a-kind experience, flying among the clouds like a bird looking at the beautiful Chiapas region. Completely safe and fun experience as the Captain who I flew with has been doing it for close to 40 years. This was followed by rappel in the Sima de las Cotorras, hike to the top and zip lining. It was an exhilarating experience to say the least! Best part was that I didn’t speak a word of Spanish, but Ramon and the wonderful Mexican group made me feel comfortable and very much a part of their group. I highly recommend this tour if you go to Villahermosa.
