  We had Fernando as our guide. He was soft spoken and very knowledgeable about the area. We visited the animal sanctuary, chocolate factory, rum factory, did a little shopping, ate lunch, and then road horses along the beach. Fernando did an amazing job getting us where we wanted to be on time. Highly recommend Fernando and using Bodden services for a great adventure.

  Excellent option for a customizable tour in Roatan! We took a pre-arranged tour a few years ago, which hit the big tourist spots. This, however, was a far better tour that allowed us to see the less-touristy areas of the island and gain a better knowledge of the true culture in this amazing place. Our tour guide, Big Ald, was incredible - very informative and easy to understand as he showed us around the island and took us to one of the best beaches we've ever seen (yes, better than West Bay with none of the high-pressure sales people pestering us). Can't say enough positive things about this experience! Highly recommend!

• So much fun in a short time

  Henry was a fantastic guide. We took the private tour with 8 of us and we're surprised with how much we got in. The zip lining was some of the best we had done. Then we got to see sloths, monkeys and macaw. Be careful the macaw talons are a little sharp. From there we tried chocolate and rum. We finished up with some of the boys snorkeling while he then dropped the rest back at the ship . Thank you for the great memories

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️ We recently did a Victor Bodden tour with Angel as our driver, and overall, the experience was just okay. The highlight of the day was definitely the animals—they were a really fun and memorable part of the trip. That said, we were surprised (and a bit disappointed) that guests were still allowed to hold the sloths, despite recent changes in the law meant to reduce stress on the animals. One thing to note: the website made it seem like we could fully customize our itinerary and choose the order of stops. We wanted to visit the animals first while it was still cool, but when we asked to go to the cameo factory next (which was actually very cool and highly recommend!), our driver expressed frustration about the distance and “wasting gas.” He suggested going to the beach instead, and although we preferred to save that for last, we felt a bit reprimanded before he eventually agreed. It made things a little uncomfortable. Lunch was a positive—my son wanted to try iguana (a local specialty), and Angel was able to make that happen, which we appreciated. 👍 West Bay Beach was beautiful, but be aware: it requires an additional day pass (we weren’t told ahead of time). If you go with the $25 option, expect a very crowded beach with no umbrellas or shade. Unfortunately, we were even asked to give up our chairs by another tour guide saving them for his group—which was frustrating. I wish our driver had advocated for us in that moment. 👎🏼 Overall, the tour had some nice moments, but clearer expectations and a more guest-focused experience would have made a big difference.

  Fantastic Place to Spend the Day! We did all of the activities that were offered: ATV, Zip Line, Time with Animals, and Time at the Beautiful Beach. The Driver and Tour Guides were Friendly and Very Helpful. Thank you sooo much for a Wonderful Day!

• Wonderful Day in Roatan with Jerry

  5 older adults, first time in Roatan, returned to our ship with great memories of this beautiful island. I highly recommend Jerry, our driver/guide, who felt like family from the get-go. In addition to driving around the island to see all the scenic water views, we visited the Rum Factory and the Sloth and Monkey. Don't miss either of those when you visit Roatan! And be sure to ask for Jerry!

  Big Al was a great driver and host for the day. The service company was great. We went to AJs sloths and monkeys and highly recommend that experience. A fun day on the island!

• Truly the Best of Roatan, every time!

  Since my very first cruise in 2010 where Victor’s own mom collected the $2 per person to visit the monkeys, I have stuck with Victor Bodden Tours every visit to Roatan. Victor still works hard every day, he was out by the taxis helping get people into the right vehicles. And yet, he’s an incredibly successful entrepreneur because he has stuck with quality at an affordable and family friendly price. His operation has grown tremendously and it’s made it even better every time. Our driver was perfect and made sure we were well taken care of. The $12 per person for the iguana sanctuary is well worth it to get up close and personal with so many of these cool creatures. ATVs and ZipLines were the best at Victors place and all of our family (mom, dad, 15, 12 and 10) had the best times. The highlight as always was when Kenny walked us around the animal sanctuary and we got a chance to interact with parrots, monkeys and sloths who you can tell are loved and well taken care of. • Great Tour, Payment Hassle

  We had a lovely, quick private tour at Roatan with our Victor Bodden guides, with a couple of caveats. Our wonderful guides, Luis and Dixie, were super friendly and informative, and showed us beautiful sights of the central island and an amazing boat ride through the mangroves. The issue - not our guides' fault - was time. Our NCL ship was only in for about six hours, and we got caught in road construction and traffic returning to the port at Coxen Hole. The snag then was paying for the trip: Victor Bodden doesn't take prepayment, and we had planned to pay by credit card. What we didn't know was that they will *not* accept credit cards at the port, by phone, online or through any payment apps. You have to take the card to their office, which is an additional hour away, there and back. That wasn't happening. We tried to get cash from a local ATM but our card wouldn't work. Ultimately I had to sprint from the port to the ship's casino to get cash, sprint back out of the port to pay our driver, and then run back aboard with minutes to spare. It's disappointing that a leading tour company can't accommodate credit cards better than that. We highly recommend their guides - just carry lots of cash for your tour, activities, snacks, tips, everything, because you'll need it. And if your stay in port is short, be really mindful of Roatan traffic.
