  Alrhought they canceled the beetle car a few days prior, they replaced it with a very nice van, it worked out since it was very windy and everyone’s allergies were bad, plus I had a recent knee injury so we had more room. Our tour guide Margarida was wonderful, we had to deviate from the normal schedule because I wasn’t able to do stairs or steep hill climbing so she did her very best in coming up with other things to see and got us as close as she could to the Palace and castles, she took us to a little shop in downtown Sintra to taste some liquors, and stopped by a cafe for some delicious pastries, she made our trip special by going out of her way for me. Dropping me off somewhere and then finding a parking spot sometimes far away and then would run back to the car to pick me up, we drove through some beautiful area, where she would point out important palace’s and castles, we ended up on Pink Street which she offered to take us after I noticed it driving by. I recommend having a drink or something to eat there, it was really nice. Thank you Margarida for everything and all the information you sent to us afterwards, if we come back or move here haha, we will see you again ❤️ Laura and Ben

  We had an amazing experience with Fred (Frederico). He is kind, funny and easy going. He told us a lot of ins and outs about different things in Sintra and he knew the best places for food (were we came back a lot of times that the days after). He helped us with a quick acces, what is very nice with a 8 months old baby. Frederico ... thank you! Big hugs, Bodhi, Denise & Quincy

  We took a trip from sintra to cabo da roca and finally to Cascais. Miguel was great driving us around recommending the best time and place in Sintra. He skipped the queues, recommended the good reasonably priced restaurants and took us to some of the most amazing places. Cabo da Roca was amazing experience, didn't want to come back. The drive to Cascais was even better, I could not thank more enough

  Very nice excursion, I love not following a group and having a choice on what I want to see and not see. Frederico really friendly and made us discover places we would not have found alone. Recommend without hesitation.

  A friend had recommended Frederico for a guided tour of Sintra and its treasures. We were at the beginning of our journey and it was a good decision. We see that he is in love with his village, he takes us to our hotel, buys our tickets, tells us what to visit inside the sites and meanwhile he is waiting for us. He made us discover charming places and in addition with a convertible Beetle, I was able to take very nice photos during the ride. We saved a lot of time because we only had one day. We booked it for another guided tour in Lisbon. Equally satisfied, certain that we could never have seen everything we visited in such a short time with the history of monuments (which he knows very well). For the price I can not pronounce it according to the customer's request. She is a charming, well-educated, caring and attentive person. I highly recommend it.   He is knowledgeable and really cares that visitors to his home town enjoy their visit. We were able to see much more in one day than we could have seen in 2 days on our own. Thank you, Fred!

  Our last day in Lisbon. On the train towards Sintra. Arriving we did not know where to look first of all the possibilities means of transport to visit Sintra. However, we had 1 problem. We had to be back at the station by 4pm. There was Frederico. He listened to our wishes and managed to design a tailor-made program for us for a correct amount. No long queues, the most beautiful places to take a nice photo, the historical past, .... Everything was tip top. Frederico was friendly, accommodating and found a solution to every problem. We thought the personal approach was TOP!

  We had a very nice trip to Sintra with Fred. I had a wheelchair and Fred certainly took an extra effort to make sure the trip was convenient even with the chair. Fred is very knowable and willing to personalize the experience. He really made the trip to be one of the highlights of our visit to Portugal!

  Fred is knowledgeable, personable and has an excellent manner about him. He was full of great tips to avoid the crowds, took us to the hidden beauty spots of Sintra and really personalised the experience for us. Sintra is a wonderland of architectural gems and an afternoon really wasn't enough to do it justice, but Fred knew how to make sure we didn't leave without missing the highlights. A private tour is more expensive than a lot of the other options but when you see the queues for the buses you'll know it's worth it. Highly recommended.

  I am a seasoned traveler who’s been there and back, had my share of tours (but also not afraid to just grab a map and go), but being solo on this trip I decided to take the plunge and seek out a tour guide. I don’t know if the stars were aligned, the universe was feeling sorry for me, or I just plain old got lucky- but I found Fred and I had two of the most amazing touring days of my I-am-a-jaded-traveler life. Yes, the VW convertible will up your image in the cool factor, but thats not the take away. Fred is a native to Sintra, speaks great English, is courteous, knowledgeable and listens to what you want to do or see. There was never pressure for pricing, or schedule or timing - think someone letting a guide genie out of a bottle for your wishes. He can take you to the major sights or to the hidden local gems. I was hesitant to even write this review in fear I won’t be able to have his tour when I return!
