There is no better way to explore untouched parts of Arctic nature than backcountry skiing and leaving your track in the deep snow where no one has been before you!

Sticking to our philosophy, all our tours and activities are limited to small groups (maximum of 8 guests per tour) to get the best and most memorable experience of Lapland. We refuse mass tourism, and you will never end up in big groups - even in peak season!

There is no better way to explore untouched parts of Arctic nature than backcountry skiing! As your professional guide will take you straight into the Taiga forest, you will get the chance to enjoy some of the breathtaking scenery of Lapland using backcountry skis and leave your track in the deep snow where no one has been before you! Backcountry skiing is a great way to explore remote areas of Lapland. Unlike alpine skiing or cross-country skiing, which are practised on groomed trails, backcountry skiing allows you for a more adventurous trip through hilly terrains, forests and lakes. It does not require much practice to get used to the techniques and slide on deep snow. This makes it very comfortable and easy to use, even for beginners! Your guide will choose a location that best fits the level and the needs of the group. They will also teach you some safety instructions/techniques on how to use the skis in fresh snow. Refreshments and a typical Finnish campfire snack will be provided around an open fire. This ski tour lasts 3 hours, including transportation from/to Rovaniemi, barbecue snack and the skiing time (around 1 hour - 1 hour 30 minutes depending on your level).

We went on a ski hiking tour yesterday, and it was an excellent experience and a great way to try something new. What truly made the tour special was our guide, Atanas 🤩🔥 He was professional, friendly, and very attentive. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and capable throughout the hike, and he created a relaxed and positive atmosphere for the whole group. The grilling break was delicious, and thanks to him we got to try something new 😍🤩 especially the carrot bread, which was a great surprise 😇 Even though the tour took longer than expected and we finished later than planned, despite him having another group afterwards, he remained fully engaged and kept the great atmosphere until the very end. After we got into the car, he noticed the Northern Lights appearing and invited us back out to take photos, which was an unforgettable moment 🥹🥹🥹🥳🥳🥳 Overall, a highly memorable tour and an experience we would absolutely recommend! thanks to an outstanding guide ATANAS!♥️ Ameer & Anwaar

We stayed in Rovaniemi for a week in February 2025 and made several excursions in this agency whose seriousness and quality of services are no longer in doubt. We particularly enjoyed Ski Trekking: a unique experience in a postcard landscape. Change of scenery in sight! Immersed in the nature of Lapland, we felt like we were on another planet! We also had a great meeting in the person of Jade our French guide in this adventure. I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the sympathy, dynamism and helpfulness of Jade who also gave us valuable advice for the rest of our Sami tribulations! Thanks again to the whole agency with special attention to Jade who made our experience even more unforgettable!

The guide was very nice and friendly but also inexperienced. I believe winter is a peak season and companies hire just anyone to conduct the tour. We went with ski to a lake which was slushy and one participant fell into a hole. Then guide wanted to take the group to forest but failed to guide us there. So all in all, it was more of a checklist crossed but wouldn't suggest this tour.

Absolutely loved it. Company had a few cancellations but took me out solo regardless. Guide was amazing, funny, informative and took me on a great adventure. Highly recommend. They offer an overall and boots…. Take them it gets very fresh when the sun goes down

Such a fun time! I booked this at the last minute and I wanted something outdoors in the afternoon. The tour operator is so professional and the booking was very easy. We absolutely loved our guide - Nick - and we were the only people on the tour. We drive to a forest on private land and went exploring. Cross country skiing takes some skill but mostly a willingness to fall and get back up again. The fire and tea in the hut were really great. I could not have had a better last day in Rovaniemi.

We had a wonderful time on this tour with our guide, Gábor. He told us many interesting things about the area, the company etc. The ski trekking was a lot of fun and our small group (4 people) was great. I highly recommend this tour.

I really liked the ski trekking tour. It was super fun and well-organized. The landscapes were amazing, and skiing through them was a great experience. Our guide, Carlos, was fantastic and made the trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour for a fantastic outdoor adventure.
