St. Peter's Basilica is an active parish and therefore subject to last-minute closures due to mass or other religious events. In these cases, we will offer an extended tour of the Vatican Museums (including areas normally not part of the tour). No refunds are issued for unexpected closures.
All participants (including under 18s) must bring valid ID.
All participants MUST cover their knees and shoulders during visits to religious sites, the Vatican Museums included. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
Please notice that we are not responsible for the number of visitors the Vatican Museums allow inside.
Large umbrellas are not allowed, please leave these at your accommodations.
We recommend you bring your own headphones as the ones provided by the Vatican have a single earpiece only, and you may prefer to use both earbuds to hear the guide better.
Your tour voucher is valid only for the day and time reserved. We’re unable to accommodate late arrivals due to a strictly timed entrance ticket to the Vatican Museums. Missed tours or tickets due to late arrivals are non-refundable. Please allow extra time to reach the meeting point as Rome's streets can be confusing. Meeting time is 15 minutes before the start time of the tour.
ACCESSIBILITY: While the Vatican Museums are equipped with elevators for wheelchair access, they are not conveniently located on the group tour route and only give access to specific sections of the Museums. As a result, we cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walkers on this tour.
Between January 12 and March 31, 2026, the Vatican Museums will carry out an extraordinary maintenance project on Michelangelo's "Last Judgement" fresco in the Sistine Chapel. During that time, the entire wall featuring the fresco will be covered by scaffolding, leaving the artwork temporarily out of view. The Sistine Chapel will remain open to visitors.

Meeting Point: The meeting point is our office, very close to the Museums' entrance, the exact address is Via Santamaura 14B. The closest Metro stop is Ottaviano. Please allow extra time due to traffic during the summer months! If you do need assistance with how to reach the meeting point, please don't hesitate to contact us.

5.00The meeting place was easy to find. Our tour guide, Valentina, was extremely knowledgeable and well organized. Valentina did an excellent job of informing and entertaining. She made everyone feel significant and she was especially warm and inclusive of the two young children in our group. We were very happy and appreciative of Valentina and the tour.

5.00Colletta was very knowledgeable! There can still be a line, but it’s better to be with a tour than without because the lines are defiantly shorter. She took her time, gave explanations of all the major item, and answered all questions. Thanks so much!
Viator screws up and doesn’t care

1.00Viator is terrible we booked 2 things through them and both got screw up one way or another. The first we were supposed to go to the coliseum on Sunday. They emailed us and said congratulations your tickets have been secured for Saturday, we booked this excursion like 6 months before. Again it was supposed to be Sunday . We canceled that one and we booked through another site and it cost us $100 because it was so close to the day we were going ( that is $100 they screwed us on). Then we had skip the line of the Vatican we booked it for 12 noon. We got to the Vatican and then was told we had to wait an extra 1/2 hour. Doesn’t sound like a lot but we had another wine and food tour that we missed because of the later time on the tickets. I asked for a partial refund. The guy on phone was all for it and then I received an email saying … so sorry no refund! They screwed up 2 times and cost me a lot of money. I lost out on $240 because of these idiots $100 extra cost on the tickets and $70 each ($140) for the wine and food tour.

3.00This tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica was not bad overall, but I don’t believe it is really necessary. Despite claims, it does not skip the lines. You still have to wait in line for each area to enter, which was disappointing and misleading. A very important warning: do not check in any backpack or personal belongings. Once you check items, you won’t be able to retrieve them until you exit the entire Vatican, and then you must walk all the way back around (about 1.5 miles) to get your things. This was extremely inconvenient and poorly explained. That said, the inside of the Vatican is absolutely beautiful—everything from the artwork to the architecture is breathtaking. The tour guide was also very knowledgeable and provided interesting and detailed information throughout the visit. Overall, the experience was nice once inside, but the lack of real line-skipping and the baggage situation made it more frustrating than expected.

5.00Without this guided tour for it would be unthinkable for us to visit Vatican! First of all, skip the line was absolutely necessary. There were kilometers of queues to get the ticket and to the St.Peters cathedral, which would take hours. Second of all, without the guide we would get lost in 26 museums and all the exhibits without knowing where to look and what we are seeing. Valentina is a top professional guide. She took us through the highlights and via the shortcuts to avoid the crowds as much as possible. Both my husband and I admire Valentina‘s energy and a vivid, lively manner of guiding the tour. It was very exciting and totally worth the money. Special thanks to Valentina! ☺️
