All persons over 95kg are subject to Tandem Master assessment at the drop zone. Persons 95kg – 104.9kg will incur a weight surcharge of $50, Persons 105kg-114.9kgs will incur a weight surcharge of $75 and those over 115kgs+ will incur a weight surcharge of $100 (payable at time of check in).
The minimum weight is 30kg/66lbs and all passengers must be big enough to fit safely into the harness.
Customers under the age of 18 years, must have adult onsite to sign waiver
Not recommended for participants with heart complaints, back problems or if pregnant.

Despite careful packing, the parachute may open abruptly or not open correctly which may result in injury. Unintended incidents may occur during the aircraft flight, descent or on landing.
Parachuting is done at the parachutists' own risk. Any person parachuting, training to parachute, flying in any aircraft being used for parachuting or participating in any activity carried out by Skydive Wanaka or NZONE may only do so on the distinct understanding that they do so entirely at their own risk.

Your Skydive Wanaka adventure begins when you arrive at our drop zone, located 10 minutes from Central Wanaka at the Wanaka Airport. All equipment is provided, so just bring a big smile, as well as warm and comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes. Once you are at the drop zone you will be greeted by our friendly staff that will help to get you checked in, geared up and ready to meet your tandem master. When you have met your 'beautiful stranger' you will head off to the plane and take a 20-minute scenic flight to altitude. As you fly over the Southern Alps your instructor will point out Mt. Cook, Mt. Aspiring, the Southern Alps, up to 6 lakes and the Clutha River. At altitude the door of the plane will open and this is where the fun begins. "Freefall feels like flying," so make sure you keep your eyes open, and capture your thrilling moments whilst reaching speeds of up to 125 miles per hour (200 kilometres per hour). After up to 60-seconds your parachute will open and you will get the chance to take in the views as you gently fly back down to the landing area. Once on the ground, celebrate your achievement while you await your edited video and photos.

5.00The most amazing experience. Staff were so attentive and friendly. We had our jump delayed by an hour or so due to operational issues but the staff kept us informed so no bother at all. Huge shout out to Lucas the instructor who I jumped with, made the experience even more memorable, the best vibes- had the most amazing time! Thank you all so much for!

3.00Skydive Wānaka was definitely an experience. The skydive itself was very cool, flying, seeing what’s around but the staff.. not so good. The receptionists were lovely but the men who you skydive with were not pleasant. They never really smiled, spoke to you, listened or anything. Just boring and bland. It made our experience really awkward and looking back at photos doesn’t feel great. I loved the skydive and would recommend it just maybe not here and seeing other reviews I would assume it’s clear this isn’t the best place. Overall 3/5 as the skydive was fun and not all of it was bad but the pictures were also heavily overpriced for what you get. Not the best!

5.00Skydiving Wanaka is, hands down, one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Jumping from 15,000 feet over Wanaka should be terrifying… yet somehow it felt incredibly good—and that’s 100% thanks to my tandem instructor, Cuzzy. From the moment we geared up, Cuzzy brought total calm, confidence, and good energy. He explained everything clearly, kept things light and fun, and made it obvious that I was in the hands of a true professional. When you’re about to step out of a plane at 15,000 feet, that kind of trust means everything. The jump itself? Unreal. Freefalling over Wanaka’s mountains, lakes, and valleys felt like flying through a postcard. Time slowed down, fear disappeared, and all that was left was pure adrenaline and awe. 15,000 feet has never felt so smooth, so safe, or so incredible. Cuzzy made the entire experience feel effortless—from exit to landing—and somehow managed to turn one of the most extreme things you can do into something that felt natural, controlled, and insanely fun. If you’re thinking about skydiving in New Zealand, this is the place, and if you can request an instructor, ask for Cuzzy. Absolute legend. I’d jump again tomorrow without hesitation.

1.00Our booking was cancelled due to the weather, which is understandable. However, they charged a 1.2% card payment fee that they refused to refund, which is ridiculous. We had bookings with other outdoor activity providers that were also cancelled due to the weather, but we had no issue getting a full amount back, including the card payment fee. Moreover, they returned the money through “refund” instead of cancelling the original payment, which could result in exchange loss if you’re using a foreign credit card. BOOK THE ACTIVITY WITH THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

5.00We had to reschedule from the Wanaka dive to Queenstown, and the team made it so easy—communication was clear and stress-free. The dive itself was brilliant. I felt safe and supported the entire time, with the staff checking in on us and making sure we were ready before the jump. I’ve always been scared of heights, but not anymore! I’ll definitely be doing this again—maybe even going higher next time. 😍

5.00Perfect. It was our first jump and the help on-line as well as a situation was amazing. Both during preparation and during the ascent, the jump and landing was perfect. Each of our monitors on the jump gave us professionalism and security.. FULLY RECOMMENDED.

5.00Skydive Wanaka made our first skydive experience as beautiful and it could be, the weather, the excitement, the nervous before jumping off the airplane, motivating but relaxing talking along the way with our tandem masters, the stunning view from above 15000ft, all made this experience one of the most memorable and beautiful ones. Definitely a recommended one!
