We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour!
With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide on the boat; searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture.
At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna.
Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have.
After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then back to home base.
Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.
Please know that, with the exception of the Private Photo Safari, OUR TOURS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL NON-US RESIDENT FEES.

5.00Excellent boating, beach combing and kayaking experience with Captain Jerry. He was friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area, the wildlife and culture, etc. My family and I were the only passengers that afternoon so he asked what we wanted to see/experience most and was happy to tailor the trip to make that happen. We really enjoyed the variety of being able to boat, kayak and spend time looking for shells on a beach outside the park. Would highly recommend this tour and this captain if you want a small group experience that focuses on the environment of the Everglades.

5.00Serene peaceful nature experience. We had a lovely small group and were able to experience the true mangrove area away from the Marco crowds. Loved seeing the dolphins and birds and getting quietly away in kayaks.

5.00Great trip! It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with Don, our guide, who was knowledgable and informative. He shared a lot of history of the area as well as information about flora and fauna (shells, sea creatures, edible plants, etc.). We saw osprey bringing fish to their nests, a bald eagle, dolphins, and just missed some manatees as they darted away from the boat. It's great to see the Everglades from the water. Highly recommended!

5.00We had a wonderful time. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us about all the animals, trees, and waterways that we saw. We got to see a small shark and a few dolphins as a bonus. It was a perfect day!

5.00Fabulous time out on the water in Everglades National Park with personable expert guide Dan. Dolphin, osprey, bald eagles, pelicans, cormorants, shore birds, even a magnificent frigate! Walked a sand bar and small island, kayaked in mangrove channels, and motored across wide expanse of the park. Magnificent!

5.00Wanted a little more indepth tour so we decided on this. Our guide, I believe Dan, was very nice and patient. My 8 year old son asked a ton of questions and he never got annoyed but instead was happy to answer all his questions. I loved that it was relaxed and no other people as we explored the everglades. My only suggestion is bringing bug spray, because oh my goodness during the walk the mosquitos got us.

5.00We were very lucky and there were only two of us. The silence, vastness and almost untouched nature are breathtaking. We were able to soak up and enjoy every moment. Our guide “Dan” is a quiet character who certainly doesn’t say a word too much, but is not averse to conversation. As soon as there was something to see, he always had a story about it. The highlight was the school of dolphins, which we were able to get close to. There were probably 10 animals swimming around the boat. When we increased the speed, the animals swam along in the fairway and jumped out of the water on the side of the boat. Sustainably impressive images. If you're looking for a classic tourist offer with constant guide chatter and entertainment, you've come to the wrong place. Here you really get to see nature, even if it may seem unspectacular at times. It was exactly the right thing for us. Thanks for that!

5.00Dan was a great tour guide. He knows the area in and out. He took us to the places we could see the wildlife and he's familiar with the National Park rules and promotes education of the environment and ecosystem. We had the boat ride, walked an island, and took a peaceful kayak tour. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us the ins and outs of the island so we knew where to eat dinner or stop for ice cream after the tour.
