Old Fortress Corfu
Our accredited guide will meet you in front of the Old Fortress at the statue of Schulemburg and after she gives you some information from outside about the monument you will continue your tour in the historical center.
Spianada Square
The central square of Spianada is the most significant monument of the town. The name derives from the Venetian word for an "open flat area" and it is said that it is the largest square in the Balkans. Liston which is part of the square houses some of the finest cafes and restaurants in Corfu. The French were the ones who turned the Spianada into a public square. Before the nineteenth century, it used to be a large empty lot used for defensive purposes. Cricket matches are played on the Esplanade, the only place in Greece where the sport is played.

In one of our food stops we will have an olive oil tasting and the local vendor will introduce us to the local spices and the history of olives
Our morning tour would end up at a restaurant where you can enjoy a seated lunch. You will have a chance to taste the famous local pastitsada, Greek salad and ouzo.
After meeting your certified guide the first food stop will start with a Greek brunch that includes spinach pies, cheese pies, greek yoghurt and ginger beer.

5.00I have done at least two dozen food tours all over the world and this was truly one of the best. Naustia was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job mixing historical facts with information about life in Corfu today. She was able to answer any questions; she exuded a love for her homeland; and, of course, we had plenty of wonderful food, wine and liqueurs at several local restaurants and shops. Be sure to show up with an empty stomach!

5.00The tasting was great! Generous portions, nice variety, friendly vendors, delicious food! Vilia, our guide, was vivacious and knowledgeable. Our tour was just the two of us, so we were able to get to know her, and when she hugged us goodbye, we felt like we are friends! Our tour was on a rainy day, but we managed to dodge the heaviest showers. There was a lot of walking, but that's Corfu!

5.00We had an amazing food and cultural tour with Nausica, she was so friendly and took us to many local shops to try the flavors of the city. The amount of food, drink, sweets were plentiful. She gave us such a great tour including the food and information about the people and the city. Can't wait to come again. Would definitely do the tour again with her.

5.00The Corfu small group food and culture tour was excellent! The directions to the meet point were clear and the guide was there when we arrived. The tour started by the Old Fortress where the guide gave a brief but thorough introduction to the history of the island and the fortress. After that we walked through the streets of old town where we made 4 stops. At the first stop we had some traditional Corfu treats including spanakopita and Greek yogurt with quince sauce. At the second stop we sampled kumquat liqueur and limoncello. We also tasted a candied kumquat. The third stop was at a dairy shop where we tried some delicious pudding. The last stop was a full sit-down meal that included wine, a Greek salad, sofrito and pastitsada. Everything was delicious! And while it may seem backwards to eat sweets before dinner, it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the meal as the tour wound down. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you have the chance.

5.00Fantastic experience.. Our tour guide treated us to some history of Corfu first ,then onto the wonderful local food.. we had three stops to sample traditional Greek food while meandering thru the town.. finishing up with a beautiful lunch..Alice was informative, fun and lovely… the tour could not have been any better and she just make it extraordinary…

Her time management skills helped the tour flow along nicely.. She included all in participating with the tour. She was flexible with everyones needs.
