Old Fortress Corfu
Our accredited guide will meet you in front of the Old Fortress at the statue of Schulemburg and after she gives you some information from outside about the monument you will continue your tour in the historical center.
Spianada Square
The central square of Spianada is the most significant monument of the town. The name derives from the Venetian word for an "open flat area" and it is said that it is the largest square in the Balkans. Liston which is part of the square houses some of the finest cafes and restaurants in Corfu. The French were the ones who turned the Spianada into a public square. Before the nineteenth century, it used to be a large empty lot used for defensive purposes. Cricket matches are played on the Esplanade, the only place in Greece where the sport is played.

In one of our food stops we will have an olive oil tasting and the local vendor will introduce us to the local spices and the history of olives
Our morning tour would end up at a restaurant where you can enjoy a seated lunch. You will have a chance to taste the famous local pastitsada, Greek salad and ouzo.
After meeting your certified guide the first food stop will start with a Greek brunch that includes spinach pies, cheese pies, greek yoghurt and ginger beer.

5.00Our Corfu food tour with Nausica was the highlight of our trip! She is from Corfu and took us to so many local spots that we would’ve never found on our own. We learned so much and talked about it for weeks. Definitely book if you are visiting.

5.00What an amazing tour! We got a great introduction to Corfu Old Town and insight into the history and culture of Corfu. Our guide, Ariti, was great at providing information, stories and anecdotes as we meandered to the cultural and food stops. This gave us a real sense of how Corfu has been influenced and changed over time and how the Corfiots have continued to value family, music, education and more. Each food stop was locally owned and we tried so many things - I suggest you come hungry! Note: we chose the 6pm tour which meant we were not out in the heat of the day and got to enjoy dinner at the last stop.
Take this trip and go hungry.

5.00This is an excellent trip which my family and I all thoroughly enjoyed. Our guide Alice was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. We were taken to a number of venues some of which related to historical information about Corfu Town and others which were venues to try out food. Please do go hungry to this trip as you get so much food. We started off with cheese pie, cheese and spinach pie and a sweet pie, all of which were delicious. Along the way we tried Corfu butter with honey on a large chunk of bread. Some different types of olive oil, some kumquat sweets, preserves and liqueurs and we finished off with a large lunch which included Greek salad, loads of fresh bread, a chicken and pasta dish and a beef dish with chips. Everything was delicious and whenever there were leftovers, Alice sorted out containers so they could be taken away by anyone who wanted them. Highly recommended.

5.00Alice was a pleasure! She offers Interesting historical perspective and foodie commentary. Very inclusive for all participants. Thank you for a lovely day in Old Town Corfu! Walking is minimal, I don’t even hit 5000 steps. You’ll need to walk off all the food offerings later in the day!

5.00Come hungry. We made four food stops. First was at a bakery place for spinach and cheese pies and various sweets. Second stop was at a specialty meat and cheese shop where we enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board. Third stop was at a kumquat shop where we tried all sorts of kumquat-based products including liquors and candies. We ended at a restaurant where we were served a full lunch including beer or wine. We were already stuffed before we even got to the restaurant! The quality of the food was overall very high at every stop, and there was PLENTY of it. All along the way our guide Ilectra gave us an excellent overview of Corfu's sights and history. Highly recommend this excursion.

5.00Today we spent the time with Alice, she was a complete joy. Her fun and sweet personality made this tour just the more enjoyable. She had great knowledge of Corfu which she shared with us as we visited several historical sights. We had several stops to try food, all of which was very unique and delicious. It was a great spend of time on corfu but Alice made it very recommendable!

5.00Our tour guide was Alice and she was the absolute best! Very welcoming, knowledgeable, and so sweet. The tour itself is setup to hit a lot of highlights of old town. All the shops we stopped at to taste food or olive oil were not only delicious but also very welcoming. Definitely recommend this tour, it was awesome!

5.00We had our private tour today with Ariti, who was amazing! Super friendly, super knowledgeable, she shared the history of Corfu and her experience growing up here, and we had a great time discussing differences and similarities between our culture. There are multiple stops to try local delicacies: everywhere we stopped the food was delicious and the people working there were friendly and kind. We definitely recommend the tour, and want to give a special shout out to Ariti!
