Dried seafood is a common ingredient in Chinese cooking and traditional tonics, and in Hong Kong, this trade is clustered around a section of Des Voeux Road West in Sheung Wan, commonly known as Dried Seafood Street. Come explore and learn about the medicinal properties of the dried seafood used in soups and visit a Chinese medicine shop originating from 1940s.

5.00I'm so glad I booked this tour! Mel was incredibly knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights into the history of the food, taking us to some truly excellent spots. It was definitely a highlight of my trip to Hong Kong and I can't recommend this tour enough!

5.00We booked a private food tour of Hong Kong with Andy and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Our age range was 38-80 and we each had a great time. He met us at our hotel and we traveled by subway, tram, and public bus. He tailored our route to minimize stairs. In addition to taking us to unique and special places, we learned a lot about life in Hong Kong. It was the best tour experience we’ve ever had.

5.00Sinclair did a great job of leading my husband & I on an all day walking tour! We saw a famous hotel, a hostel & market area, financial district, the old police & judicial buildings, the old prison & prison yard, the Man-mo Temple, a market area of electronics, fish, & other food and souvenir items, & much more! We got to sample the egg custard tart, which was quite tasty. We also got to experience a ferry ride, a Ding-ding cable car ride, & the subway system. All along the way, Sinclair explained the history & culture of the Hong Kong people, and answered all of our many questions. We definitely learned a lot, & we highly recommend Sinclair as a guide.

5.00I had the best time eating delicious food in an authentic atmosphere and meeting other foodies. Our host told us stories to illustrate history and took us on a walking tour to highlight Chinese medicinal culture and practice. We ate plenty of food but didn't feel rushed and I wasn't too full so I could enjoy every bite.

5.00We had a fabulous experience with Alex, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the area, the history behind the foods we tried, and he took us to local restaurants where we had very authentic experiences with locals. We started out in the best dim sum tea house, and the tour only improved with each tasting! I highly recommend this tour.
