As we ventured through the designated sites, our guide impressed us with an abundance of knowledge, sharing captivating insights into historical events and their modern-day relevance. The timing of each stop was impeccable, a refreshing break following a grueling 17-hour journey. Lunch offered a sumptuous buffet spread, accommodating all dietary needs, whether vegetarian or otherwise. For me, the highlight was exploring the churches and the timeless art adorning the caves. Our guide eloquently recounted the journey from Jesus' birth to his crucifixion, illuminating the significance behind the cave paintings.
