5.00Excellent! The Van seats 14 but we only had 8 which was perfect. There is AC and they had cold bottles of water. On the way we stopped at a gas station with a bathroom and bought snacks. The drive to Chichen Itza from Cancun’s hotel zone was little more than 2 hours. We arrived early and were able to park very close to the entrance. Carmen was our guide and she was amazing. She knew so much about the history and the site. Along the way she introduced us to the history of the mathematical and astrological accomplishments including the Mayan calendar, We could tell she was very educated, loved her job and was proud to show us the history. Chichen Itza is much larger than expected but we saw key areas before the big bus tours arrived. Next we went to a Cenote which was a great relief from the heat. Had a good buffet lunch and then drove 15 minutes to Ek Balam, which was epic, it’s a newer discovery, much less crowded and you are allowed to climb to the top of the pyramid. It’s a long day and somewhat strenuous partly due to the heat which was in the 90s on our visit. Leaving early, having a small group, and most importantly being guided by Carmen, made this trip perfect. Highly recommended!!!

5.00What an amazing day with the walking encyclopaedia on Mayan culture and history that is Carmen. Her knowledge was vast and her sense of humour was great. A very long day but so enjoyable. Chichen Itza is breathtaking and the visit to the Cenote was fun. To finish off the day we visited Ek Balem which was very quiet compared to Chichén Itza but well worth the time spent there. The group we travelled with were fun too.

5.00Rodrigo and Carmen were excellent tour guides for our family. Carmen spoke excellent English and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Rodrigo was our driver and he was always present to give us a cold bottle of water and was an extremely safe driver. They were a great team and we are thankful that we got to spend the day with them!

5.00We had a perfect day with Carmen (guide) and Rodrigo (driver). During the drive Carmen gave us a lot of interesting information about the Maya. Also during the visit to Chichen Itza and Ek Balam Carmen explained about the sights and the culture. The timings of the visits were well planned and sufficient. We also enjoyed the visit to the cenote and the buffet lunch offered a good choice of food. We really enjoyed the trip 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

5.00Edder and Edgar were wonderful. Every stop on the tour was fabulous. We have taken the big tour bus in the past and this trip is so worth it and sooooo much better

5.00I can’t imagine visiting these locations without a tour guide. Rodrigo and Carmen were amazing. Carmen was a wealth of knowledge and made this a magical experience my family will never forget.

5.00An excellent trip made by the Knowledge, organisation and help of Carmen our guide and Rodrigo our driver. Chichen is a big site and Carmen was able to navigate the time we had there to give us the best information about, and experience of, the Mayan city. The Cenote visit was much needed after the heat of Chichen and the buffet was very good. Ek Balaam is a smaller site but well worth the time. A long day but v worthwhile. Thanks again

5.00Early arrival really helps. You not only beat the crowd, but also avoid the high temperatures in the afternoon. Our guide Carmen is super helpful and knowledgeable about the sites we visit. Cenote experience is awesome. Not crowded at all.
