Enjoy this weekend hiking group tour to the land of the Ifugao. Ifugao is the name of the region and the people famous for the Banaue rice terraces that stand out among other terraced crop paddies in the world because of their magnitude and beauty. But the grandeur of the Ifugao province extends far beyond Banaue. This 4 day guided adventure with a small group of maximum 7 travelers, takes you through the stunning scenery of mountains, rice terraces, and forests and stops at native communities along the way. You interact with the fascinating Ifugaos and get a deep appreciation of their culture by making a village your home one night.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Children must be accompanied by an adult
A maximum of 7 people per booking
Minimum age is 12 years
The physical demand of the trip is very high, with each day involving six (6) to seven (7) hours of hiking on moderately hilly to steep terrain
You will need to carry a backpack with two (2) days worth of clothes, though you have the option of hiring a porter
Accommodations will be in very basic village inns that have running water but communal bathrooms
Packing guide will be sent post booking
Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately

4.0It was such a great and unusual experience, and even better than I imagined. As a hiker, this was pretty moderate level of difficulty, but also a bit challenging due to some slippery parts because it rained when we were there. But the views are amazing and the food we ate in the different villages was always good. Jody, our guide, was really considerate and told and showed us all he know about the history and making of rice. If I could, I would definitely do it again. The only thing that bothered me, is that one breakfast should have been included, but it wasn't.

4.0Jonathan was an absolutely fantastic tour guide, he was very friendly and knew lots about the region. The people running the homestay in Banaue were also amazingly friendly, and it had the best homemade yogurt I've ever tried! The only reason I gave this experience 4 stars instead of 5 was that the homestay in Batad took well over an hour to prepare my meal when I stayed there, which was only a rice and vegetables. Overall, would highly recommend, Jonathan as a guide especially.
