One way to enjoy the seabed is the practice of snorkeling in Isla de Tabarca. This modality that only requires diving goggles, a tube and fins, allows us to observe the marine fauna of the Isla Tabarca Reserve at a shallow depth and discover the different parts of this paradise that we have so close and little known.

This activity begins in Santa Pola, in the diving center we will equip ourselves and later, we will go to the port to take a taxi boat that will take us to Isla de Tabarca, where the instructor will act as a guide visiting the best points of the island, the coves , the beaches, the port, etc. It has a total duration of about 3-3.5 hours approx. with the routes. Includes the necessary material (mask + tube + fins) and soft drink. We will also take some underwater photos for you to remember (subject to camera availability). Once the activity in Tabarca is over, we will take the taxi boat to return to Santa Pola.

Amazing experience! Our guide was so friendly and attentive. Definitely fun to try! The island is cute and charming. We are definitely planning on going back! One thing I have to say: do not worry about getting a water resistant bag for your phone, our amazing guide took way nicer pictures with his special underwater camera and sent to us just after a few minutes after being back :)

This was hands down one of the worst tours I’ve ever been on. From the moment it started, things went wrong. The company sent us to the wrong location, causing confusion and delay—and they showed absolutely no remorse for the inconvenience. They did refund us, but not for the uber from our place to the wrong location, but from the wrong location to the right location. This didn’t account for the more expensive fare, which was unfair. The flippers provided didn’t even fit my friends, and the makeshift replacements were a joke. We paid for an English-speaking guided snorkeling tour, but the “guide” neither spoke English nor gave a proper tour. He handed us our equipment and was swimming by himself, spending the trip doing his own thing while we fended for ourselves. Honestly, the only thing he did was give us company on the water taxi to the island, which we could’ve done for €12 on our own. The snorkeling itself was not in the open ocean—we were expected to swim from the beach into deep waters without life jackets, which was incredibly unsafe and irresponsible. No safety checks, no gear, and absolutely no concern for swimming ability. It felt like they didn’t care if we drowned. Avoid this company unless you’re okay with being misled, overcharged, and endangered.

Even though it was quite windy, our guide found a great place to snorkel. Very informative guides and very pleasant to be in company with. Looking forward to get the pictures they also took during the trip. Hence no need to bring your own camera, great idea Would recommend any time

Very fun! Our guide was very friendly and ambitious to show us the island and its creatures. We had a lot of fun and would definitely go again :)

The instructor didnt speak english at all and he was very aggressive, he was screaming and forcing my arm to go into the water, my camera now is broken because of his reaction. They changed the equipment 3 times and we started the dive with less than 150 bars… there were no temperature and visibility conditions for diving, but they told us it is ok only to make extra money… of course at the second dive we told them we want to go back at the dive center and they required extra taxes for that. we are still thinking to go to the police as we could die during that dive, I am still in shock and extremely disappointed!!!!

We snorkeled at Isla de Tabarca and although you should not expect tropical underwater views, it was still a nice excursion. The water is clear enough to spot some colorful fish and sea urchins, which makes snorkeling worthwhile. They take free underwater photos of you, which makes a nice memory! In addition, you get something to drink during the excursion, and a big plus is that you get priority on the water taxi to and from the island. This saves you a lot of time, because the queues can be really huge in good weather. Despite the language barrier, the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, there are also some disadvantages. The English of the staff is quite poor, so the explanation about the island is minimal. It is also important to check that your snorkel gear is in order before you leave, because once on the island you have to make do with it. Furthermore, you will not see anything of the island itself, because you only snorkel in the part where there is no wind and nothing else. But all in all it is a nice experience if you are looking for a relaxing day snorkeling and we would do it again.

A very good experience to come to the island of Tabarca and get to snorkel with very good guides. The guides took very good care of us, everything was prepared before we arrived so finding equipment went smoothly. They took good care like us throughout the tour and we got refreshments soda water and cake on the beach. They were very helpful and even offered tips on staying on the island.

We do recommend this experience. Adam and his mate did a wonderful job of making everyone comfortable and feel safe. We were a group of 8 people and was so well taken care of. The waters wasn't spectacular, but it was OK.
