Winter Walk With a View starts at the pick-up point in Tromsø. From there we will drive you to our basecamp, and walk to the top of the mountain “Hompan” which lies 450 mamsl. During the walk and from the top of Hompan you will get a fantastic view over the Lyngen Alps, Ullsfjorden and Lakselvdalen, all of which are amazing natural wonders. During the trip we will stop to take pictures. After the visit to Hompan we will walk back to our basecamp, where a warm meal and drink will be prepared by a fire in our grill cabin. After this cozy and personal adventure we will drive you back to the pick-up point in Tromsø. We will provide you with warm pants and jacket, snowshoes, walking sticks and a backpack with a light drink and snacks. Guests must bring their own warm clothing undernith, hat, mittens and warm shoes.

Great day! Lovely views from the walk up the hill, and lots of fun 'running' down the hill through the snow and the woods. Then had some delicious fish burgers in the bbq tent at Karin's place. Karin was a fab guide, very chatty and relaxed. Would recommend both Skadi and this activity from the list!

Had the most fabulous time on a snow shoeing tour in gorgeous scenery, then followed up with a delicious home cooked meal. Karin is a wonderful person and makes the day an incredible experience. Highly recommend!!! Thanks for having us 😀

AMAZING trip! Our guide Karin was in all matters superb! Great service, great knowledge of the local area, fun and cheerful, took pictures for us all the way, really prepared with an understanding for needs and wants, and great food after the hike! No complaints at all. The weather was unfortunately at bit cloudy on the way up, but we got to enjoy the sun and the amazing views on the way down and on Karin’s terrace while she cooked the food. We enjoyed the food in her cozy grill-cabin. Everything was fantastic! Can definitely recommend!

This was wonderful!! Karin was one of the most heart-warming and kindest guides we ever had. She picked us up in the morning, gave us proper snowshoes and then we hiked up this beautiful mountain located directly next to the city of Tromso. I did the snowshoeing for the first time and it was perfectly doable, so don't be afraid if you haven't done it yet. There was a cute little cabin where we stopped halfway up the mountain to eat chocolate and drink tea. At the top we were super lucky with the weather, the sun came through the clouds and we had the most wonderful view over the ice blue sea, the snow white mountains and the roofs of the city. On the way down we were taught how to jump through the deep snow, it was so much fun. Thank you Karin for this unforgettable experience and the warm welcome that you gave us.

It was a such a great experience with Karin, she took me snowshoeing even though I was her only customer for the day and picked me up at my place, which was very appreciated. The snowshoeing was so much fun, deep snow, lovely stops along the way and a beautiful view at the top. She even took photos that she shared very quickly afterwards. The trip ended perfectly with a really good homemade meal around a fire in her cute cabin. Thank you so much Karin!
Enjoyed the snowshoe hike and cross country skiing!

If you're looking for a tour, look no more Skadi Adventures is there for you!! This was a last minute booking (less than 24 hours before) and it has to be the highlight of my trip to Tromso! Karin came and picked me up at my accomodation (yes it is included) and suprise surprise, I was the only guest!! What followed was a wonderful day of snowshoeing, full of laughs, interesting stories, beautiful landscapes all while Karin was capturing every moments with her camera! After a ~2h hike, we then went to "the basecamp" to spend the rest of the day around a BBQ pit and the meal Karin prepared (was delicious!). Overall, a trully unforgettable and worryfree experience (as pickup/dropoff at your place, food/drink/tea, warm clothes/equipement if needed are included). Thanks again for the tour Karin and all the best for your business!

We are so happy that we chose Karin's trip. She was very kind and treated us like family. She captured the best moments of the trip, took pictures, not only of us, but the beautiful scenery as well. We especially loved drinking the warm tea she brought while admiring the landscape. She even taught us how to run in the snowshoes, it really was an amazing experience, dashing through the soft snow. We finished our journey in her BBQ hut with some delicious food. This snowshoeing really was the best memory of our trip.

Hello, we had no activity that day and the night before we contacted Karin for a snowshoe hike. First experience for us in this area and how well we did. We ended up doing this hike in a private group, (just us) and it was huge. The hike is definitely worth a look and Karin is an amazing person, kind and attentive to wish. We ended the outing by meeting his family and sharing a delicious time by the fire. Sure as soon as we get back, we'll go through Karin. Hope to see you again, Karin. Susie & Vincent

We had a fabulous time with Karin on the snow shoe adventure! She broke the hike up into thirds and we had so much fun along the way... we even learned how to run in snow shoes!! This was such a great memory for us especially getting to warm up in the BBQ hut after the hike :) Very much enjoyed our day with Karin and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!!
