Winter Walk With a View starts at the pick-up point in Tromsø. From there we will drive you to our basecamp, and walk to the top of the mountain “Hompan” which lies 450 mamsl. During the walk and from the top of Hompan you will get a fantastic view over the Lyngen Alps, Ullsfjorden and Lakselvdalen, all of which are amazing natural wonders.
During the trip we will stop to take pictures. After the visit to Hompan we will walk back to our basecamp, where a warm meal and drink will be prepared by a fire in our grill cabin. After this cozy and personal adventure we will drive you back to the pick-up point in Tromsø.

5.00We were very well received. Good quality loaned equipment. The snowshoe ride went well. Beautiful landscapes with views of the fjord. We crossed the birch forest and took our time to admire the landscape. A sense of freedom has invaded us. After the walk we went to a small wooden house where there was a fireplace in the center of the room. We tried a Norwegian speciality and grilled our fish steak. Our host is very friendly and welcomed us warmly. I recommend this excursion which is not limited to the walk.

5.00Karin was a fantastic guide who took us on a great hike. She took plenty of pictures and welcomed us into her home. We loved the snowshoeing
If you do one thing in Tromso- do this!

5.00Our snowshoeing with Wandering Owl was cancelled at the last minute due to weather so we pivoted and booked with Karin and her Skadi Adventures for the next day. It turned out to be the best thing we did in Tromso. She can go out in bad weather as her route is not so exposed. The group is small and Karin treats you like family where the tour starts and ends at her own home. It’s physically vigorous but she takes care of everyone. It’s also a lot of fun. You can tell Karin loves what she does. She laughed pretty much all the way down as we all ran through powder snow. Once down off the mountain we enjoyed a BBQ in her super cozy backyard hut. I highly recommend this tour over any of the others.

5.00We were the only ones who booked the tour so we had a private tour. Karin was a super sweet guide who took us into the mountains and told us a lot about the area. We laughed very much with her, and afterwards had a nice dinner at her house. Highly recommended!!
A little cardio in the Arctic

5.00It was an amazing and challenging ride, not suitable for those who have no condition as it is a lot of cardio and climbing mountain with very strong inclinations.Karen was an exceptional and friendly guide. We definitely return to schedule tours with Skadi.

5.00Great day! Lovely views from the walk up the hill, and lots of fun 'running' down the hill through the snow and the woods. Then had some delicious fish burgers in the bbq tent at Karin's place. Karin was a fab guide, very chatty and relaxed. Would recommend both Skadi and this activity from the list!

5.00Had the most fabulous time on a snow shoeing tour in gorgeous scenery, then followed up with a delicious home cooked meal. Karin is a wonderful person and makes the day an incredible experience. Highly recommend!!! Thanks for having us 😀

5.00AMAZING trip! Our guide Karin was in all matters superb! Great service, great knowledge of the local area, fun and cheerful, took pictures for us all the way, really prepared with an understanding for needs and wants, and great food after the hike! No complaints at all. The weather was unfortunately at bit cloudy on the way up, but we got to enjoy the sun and the amazing views on the way down and on Karin’s terrace while she cooked the food. We enjoyed the food in her cozy grill-cabin. Everything was fantastic! Can definitely recommend!

5.00This was wonderful!! Karin was one of the most heart-warming and kindest guides we ever had. She picked us up in the morning, gave us proper snowshoes and then we hiked up this beautiful mountain located directly next to the city of Tromso. I did the snowshoeing for the first time and it was perfectly doable, so don't be afraid if you haven't done it yet. There was a cute little cabin where we stopped halfway up the mountain to eat chocolate and drink tea. At the top we were super lucky with the weather, the sun came through the clouds and we had the most wonderful view over the ice blue sea, the snow white mountains and the roofs of the city. On the way down we were taught how to jump through the deep snow, it was so much fun. Thank you Karin for this unforgettable experience and the warm welcome that you gave us.
