Discover the true heartbeat of Sorrento by stepping off the largely beaten tourist path for a few hours. Immensely popular, this food experience offers a truly unique and authentic insight in to delicious local fare and everyday life in Sorrento. Strolling through a residential area accompanied by a knowledgeable host, you will be introduced to time-honoured restaurants. Savouring generous portions of several dishes, you will have the added bonus of learning a little about the traditions behind each one.
All dishes are locally sourced and utilise only seasonal produce, and while what's on the 'menu' may vary, traditional foods such as 'parmigiana di melanzane' are accompanied by acclaimed local wine. Homemade desserts from family recipes and of course limoncello bring this lovely 'famiglia Italiana’ style culinary experience to a satisfactory close.
* NOTE : Venues on this tour are situated closely together. We walk between them but distances are not far. Food is our focus.

5.00RUN DON’T WALK TO THIS TOUR. If you love food, making friends, and having lots of laugh this is a tour for you! Vanessa and Lee are knowledgeable and engaging. They have partnered with local restaurant owners to bring you an incredible experience. The food and wine were plentiful and can satisfy you for the whole day. Gluten free options were available as well. The restaurants were close to one another and we wrapped up at the pub for some espresso and tiramisu where GF options for dessert were made available.

5.00What a treat! The Gourmet Girls progressive lunch in Sorrento was a true highlight of our trip. The two fabulous women who run it are such welcoming, knowledgeable hosts with great local contacts, taking you to authentic spots you might never find on your own. Each stop offered a genuine taste of the local cuisine, and it was lovely to share the experience with others in the group, who came along in the same spirit. The Gourmet Girls gave us a perfectly balanced menu of delicious food, great stories, and fun all the way — don’t miss it!

5.00OMD what a fantastic experience, Lee and Vanessa were the perfect hosts introducing us with passion to the local cuisine and wines of Sorrento. It felt like we were out with friends, very friendly flu knowledgeable and just superb. All of the locations had a slightly different look and feel but all perfect in different ways. We had the most amazing time with our good friends and enjoyed ourselves so much we are hoping to book an evening tour the coming week. Highly recommend this superior wine and dining experience.

What a beautiful evening, so much to learn, the most amazing food and drinks to try all in brilliant company. I wouldn’t think twice about booking this experience 🩷 The wine we had was so good and there was a lot to learn about it which was so interesting. The food I mean wow, my mam has already recreated some of the dishes at home. Stunning host who was just a ray of sunshine. Beautiful restaurants with amazing staff

5.00Vanessa was amazing. We took the lunch tour. Vanesa took us around her neighborhood and we all really got a taste of Sorrento in more ways than just food. Each place we stopped had a story. The food was epic. One of the restaurants we went back to for dinner. SOOOO good. You won't regret the tour. DO IT!!

5.00We had the most fantastic food tour in Sorrento with Vanessa! She made our day so enjoyable even in the rain. We ate the most delicious food at local establishments and learned about so much food history in Sorrento. This is a must do tour! You will not be disappointed! This is a 10/10!!!!

5.00The Taste of Sorrento food and wine tour was excellent. The Gourmet Girls put on a superb event. From the wine to the information to the food - everything was great! And the amount of food (and wine) was overwhelming so pace yourselves! We had a really wonderful time.
