Enjoy a full day sailing experience with South Sea Sailing around Fiji's Mamanuca Islands onboard our sailing catamaran, SABRE,
Cruise through the Mamanuca Islands with the day's itinerary dependent on the warm tropical breeses and sea conditions, creating a one-off experience every day.
Sabre has large, shaded canopies with a range of seating options from bean bags to booths, there is plenty of room to enjoy the idyllic islands and atolls of these beautiful islands.
During the day, dine on morning tea & a gourmet buffet lunch designed by our executive chef with complimentary soft drinks and bottled water all day as well as beer and wine served from lunch time for 2 hours. The rest of the day, make use of our fully stocked bar charged on consumption.
Stop at our private island South Sea Cay for plenty of beach time and snorkelling.

South Sea Sailing offers a day out on our 78-foot sailing catamaran - SABRE - the first and only of its kind in the southern hemisphere and provides a full-day experience like no other. This full-day experience will cruise through the Mamanuca Islands with the day’s itinerary depending on the warm tropical breezes and sea conditions, creating a unique experience every day. With large, shaded canopies and a range of seating options from booths to day beds and bean bags, there is plenty of room to take in the scenery. The front of SABRE has steps for ease of access as well as a fun water slide. During the day, we will stop at our private island South Sea Cay for plenty of beach time and snorkelling. Enjoy morning tea & a gourmet buffet lunch designed by our executive chef as well as complimentary beer & wine (served from lunchtime for 2 hours), complimentary soft drinks, and bottled water are served all day. A fully licensed bar including specialty cocktails is available and charged on consumption.

2.00We were really disappointed with this tour. We thought we were going to visit the Mamanuca Islands, but in the end, no – we only went to one island and stayed in the same spot for five hours. We were with a group of disrespectful young people who threw rubbish into the sea (unacceptable) and spat water in our faces because they were drunk. We were told in the morning that we’d be dropped off, but in the end, no, he left without us. Unfortunately, there were a lot of issues with this day. On the plus side: the meals were very good and the staff were friendly. If you want to chill out on a boat, this is the place for you; if you want to go sightseeing, give this one a miss.

5.00Incredible experience!! Staff were exceptional in caring and entertaining the customers. We did the day trip with 2 children and we were looked after very well by the staff. They offered us guided and assisted snorkelling experience as we were beginners, and we are so grateful to them for the fantastic experience we had. Food and drinks were amazing. Worth every dollar! Highly recommended.

5.00The whole experience was great! Transportation from the hotel to the port was easy after making sure to read instructions. The whole crew on the catamaran were incredibly nice and made the trip awesome. Seeing all the tropical fish at the reef and making some new friends? 10/10

5.00This was such a fun day! The weather wasn’t great, but it didn’t stop anyone from having a great time! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The buffet lunch was expansive and delicious and the drinks and music on board were great! Would definitely recommend!

5.00Well run and managed from complimentary snacks and drinks upon boarding to well organized activities and large staff to coordinate and assist you if needed. Lunch was exceptional and cooked on vessel. Amazing snorkeling location overall perfect day.

4.00Don’t get me wrong, this is a cool experience. You get a full day on a sailing catamaran and time out at a coral cay with nothing more than palm trees, chairs, and crabs on it. HOWEVER, the snorkeling was pretty garbage. The water was very murky, since the cay is near a shipping channel and exposed to currents and weather. I could only see about 3 meters (9 ish feet) down. And while there were starfish and sea cucumbers, there wasn’t much else. Hardly any fish. If you are doing this for the snorkeling, look elsewhere. The yasawa islands are WAY better for working, because they have a barrier reef protecting them, meaning the water is crystal clear and there are fish everywhere. However, with everything else, it was pretty cool. The staff were super friendly, unlimited soft drinks all day and unlimited hard drinks for two hours was a large plus. Lunch was….passable. Various meats and a choice of salad. The vessel, Sabre, was really cool. Very stable, lots of cool seating, and watching them rig the sail was something I hadn’t ever experienced. Unfortunately the vessel is kind of slow, even under motor power, so you do spend most of your time traveling. Super cool if you just do this for the sailing/relaxation portion, really a bummer if you wanted to snorkel a lot. I think I only had an hour in the water. Overall, it’s cool. However, I just sit here debating if it was $120 USD cool. I just don’t think it was. If you are on the fence, do it. You won’t regret it. But if you don’t get around to it, or miss out due to weather, I wouldn’t be upset.

4.00Great ship and crew. Lunch cooked on board was surprisingly very good. One thing to note is there's only one stop on this entire day trip and it's at a sandbar not an island. Still a good day but I was not the only person that thought we were doing multiple stops in the day.

5.00Did this tour on a recommendation of a friend who went in February and was definitely not disappointed. This is such a Professionally run tour with absolutely incredible staff, all fun and beaming with an abundance of personality and willing to help and assist you with anything. The food , drinks and entertainment was all fantastic. Went on Tuesday 24th March and everyone including the tourists were all wonderful and help make it a memorable experience in Fiji which I shall never forget, especially having drinks on the Sandbar 😀
