Explore the South West Township City of Soweto on this history filled Tour. This tour will take you deep into South Africa's black only Township where the history of Apartheid traces its roots from. Soweto has one of the largest black population in South Africa and has a very rich history of what transpired during apartheid days. Some of the houses were built during apartheid days and the dark past is demonstrated in two iconic museums called Hector Pieterson and Nelson Mandela House Museum with each having a deep sad past depicted in the photos at both museums.

5.00We had a fantastic afternoon with our tour guide Marvin on a private afternoon tour of Soweto. We learned so much from Marvin along the way, who is clearly extremely knowledgeable about South African history. I loved the Soweto experience, visiting Mandela’s house and Marvin’s hospitality made the whole experience so much better. We must also credit the company for fitting us in at extremely short notice, we booked outside of their normal hours since we only had 1 afternoon in Joburg and they did everything to accommodate us
