Your guide will orient you to the area of East Cemetery Hill which is the location of heavy fighting during the Battle of Gettysburg before you enter the National Soldiers Orphanage Homestead. This building was used as the headquarters for General O.O. Howard during the battle and was also use as a hospital during and after the battle. After the end of the Civil War the building was turned into an orphanage for children whose fathers were lost during the American Civil War. That is where our story begins...

5.00We took the Orphanage tour and our tour guide Mike “The Undertaker” was amazing! He really got into character and helped you feel what the kids and townspeople felt in the aftermath of the war. Fantastic experience and would highly recommend to everyone! Thank you Mike!

5.00Chris was awesome! Her portrayal of Rosa Carmichael was great! She told the story of the orphanage from Rosa's point of view a did great. Also, she nicknamed me "stick boy" and I was her official thug for the night. She interacts with everyone very well. My daughter loved it!

5.00Mike the Undertaker was amazing! My wife and I loved the experience and learned quite a bit that we didn't know before about the aftermath following the civil war. He made the ambiance in the basement of the orphanage a blast and would highly recommend going to see.

5.00My husband and I took the tour with Mike last night. He was very entertaining. I loved when he turned the lights out in the basement. That was awesome. I loved his different stories leading up to that. I would recommend doing this tour whether you are paranormal enthusiast or a cynic. You won't be disappointed.
