Visit the colorful and historic Midi-Pyrenées Region North of Toulouse.
From Toulouse we'll first visit the Pech Merle Cavern with amazing prehistoric paintings.
Next we'll drive to St Cirq-LaPopie - one of the most beautiful villages in France
. . . One of the greatest advantages to my tours is flexibility.
I may propose or start the day with an itinerary in mind, or list of places to visit, but from there the day will unfold according to your personal wishes.

This medieval village is perched up high on a cliff overlooking the Lot river. One of the most beautiful villages in France, its sure to capture your heart. This will be a nice place to have lunch.

5.00Saint Cirq La Popie is to be made absolutely full of charm and discoveries, old houses shops of local specialties to taste , regret about the restaurant closed in the evening in October!

5.00We booked the English language tour and we were guided around the cave by a young guide who had polished her excellent English for two years in Ireland. Our guide was excellent, informative and witty. One the best guides I have encountered. If you are partially sighted, as I am, and have to be wary of trip hazards, consider taking a torch. The guide lent me hers. Wear some headgear: I could easily have bumped my head a few times.

4.00All the guides inform you about the exceptional quality of this village (preferred by the French in 2012) and they are right. It's very nice... and very busy! The car park (for a fee) is located a few hundred meters from the village which, fortunately, is (virtually) car-free. Many shops (or restaurants) are also waiting for you.

5.00Beautiful village perched on a hill. Most of the buildings are very old but well maintained. The streets are cobbled and steep, so bring a hiking pole if you have leg problems. We went by bus from Cahors and pass through lovely countryside on the way there. It’s half an hour’s walk from where the bus drops you and parts of it along narrow roads with no pavement. This village is full of nice restaurants.

5.00Superb little village. Very pretty “little finds” shop and the young woman is very friendly. We also had a snack at the village bistro and it was very good.

4.00Very nice site. Nice view. Nice walk. But the price of parking is exaggerated or even very exaggerated €7. I fill low-income families in this region. It has become a tourist trap, too bad!

4.00we did not leave Toulouse but from rocamadour; 45 minutes drive. A beautiful village like many others in the area but with a Mood can be a little too commercial for our taste that spoils the authenticity of the place. As for the cave of pech mercle which is 15 minutes drive from the village, by a superb road, it is worth seeing because of its murals which are beautiful; no luck for us, our guide was very tired and not inclined to make efforts to articulate his comments......but we do not choose his guide....

4.00Great site, to visit if you are in the area. Cobbled streets, magnificent panorama, welcoming shops. Nice restaurants.
