The Circus
The Berkeley Memorial was erected in 1883 and was for a long time the only public memorial commemorating an individual in St. Kitts. It was dedicated to the memory of Thomas Berkeley Hardtman Berkeley, a legislator and owner of the estates called Fountain, Greenland, Greenhill, Ottleys, Shadwell and Stone Fort.

THE WAR MEMORIAL was originally unveiled in 1926 at the place now occupied by the Post Office. It honoured the men who died in the First World War.

5.00This must, hands down, be the best way to see St. Kitts & Nevis, especially if on a time crunch. Honestly one of the best tours I've ever been on. Not only is Keithson (and the other guide who joined us, Nalia) incredibly personable, he'll take you to the most local of local places so you can experience the islands as authentically as possible. He's also wonderfully accommodating, which in my case meant humoring my hunt for coconut dumplings, which he eventually found at a charming little restaurant despite not being the day for it (restaurants seem to make certain dishes on certain days). You will also have plenty of delicious local beverages along the way. On top of everything, Keithson deliberately keeps tours small (no more than 8 guests) to keep things intimate and informative because he's genuinely dedicated to creating the optimal experience for visitors. If you want to find out how interesting St. Kitts & Nevis truly is and have a blast doing it, this is the tour for you.
