• Amazing 3 1/2 hour tour -exceptional value

  Great deal!! Booked the noon tour on Viator, 3 1/2 hrs, with local company Stingray City Cayman Islands and the boys on the boat Big Dee. Pickup option at Royal Watler Pier/port and was an easy 2 min walk from disembarking at our tender pier from Celebrity cruise. We then boarded a shuttle for 10-15 min ride to Big Dee boat pier and the crew, two young caymaners who were extremely polite, greeted the tourists 25-30? Then took off for the first of three stops after boat safety brief. The starfish stop was a 40 min boat ride away and IMO served as more of a break from the primary destination -Stingray Island sand bar. Saw some starfish. Boat crew was careful to tell passengers not to remove starfish from water as it damages their vascular system. They are careful to follow rules of the marine security office. Next stop, stingrays. Amazing. These very special creatures are so calm and relaxed amid the obvious throngs of humans and boats. The crewman showed how to hold, and even kiss the stingray, silly but cool. They know there’s gonna be squid when humans come around, so it’s not a farm situation, it’s a 5-6” shallow sand bar out in the ocean. Got to spend about 30-40 minutes here. There were at least 4 other boats in same area so it’s not total quiet but you know that when booking. Next stop a short boat ride from stingray island we dropped anchor and everyone got snorkeling instructions and masks. No fins and no going under to far to touch the coral beds. This was awesome too. So many different varieties of fish amongst the beautiful coral. They work hard to advise of the protection and how to bring the coral back. So, great trip, great price, back to pier in plenty of time to catch tender back to boat. Our ship final tender ran back at 4:15 and we caught one at 3:45. No worries this crew will fit it all in. One more note- plenty of cold water on board and orange and grape pop. If you anticipate getting hungry-bring your own snacks. No food or alcohol on board which was super family friendly. Crew was so nice to the kids and the oldies but goodies like me. I didn’t book a trip similar thru the cruise excursion offer cuz it was twice as much and said ‘strenuous’. It’s not strenuous at all except if you can’t get up the comfortable boat ladder, and crew will certainly help with anything.

  I’d give it 4.5 stars. Shuttle was a little late, but other than that it was a great experience. The instructors were helpful and had upbeat attitude. Waves were really choppy so it was a little challenging to swim in the water, but it was really interesting to interact with the stingrays and the instructors were helpful in showing how to hold them properly. I was surprised at the bright light blue hue of the ocean water in Stingray Park.. kind of fairy tale-esque!

  Very easy people to work with. Due to high winds it wasn't safe for us to weigh anchor where we were supposed to and we ended up on the other side of the island. They had already made necessary accommodations to pick us up at the new location and made communication very easy. Our tender boat was too late to meet up with the group, but they answered our calls, explained the situation, and gave us a full refund the same day. We didn't get to do the tour with them, we ended up going with another company, but I appreciate their communication and how quickly they refunded us. The tour itself though is incredible, there are so many sting rays and they are so docile and happy to interact with you.

  Everyone loved this experience! Traveling with parents (60s) and our children (11 & 12). Boat was a good size with toilet. Boat ride was about 15 -20 minutes to the Snorkeling stop where we spent 20 minutes which was perfect! Another 5 minutes took us to stingray city which is just an ocean location where boats anchor and the Stingrays start approaching. Water was about chest deep (I’m 5 feet). Guides were very nice, fun, helpful and friendly. Spent about 40 minutes here and it flew by! Another 5-10 min ride took us to Starfish point for a 10-15 min walk through knee/waist high water to see starfish before heading back. This was a great way for our family to spend a fun day with exciting unique memory making shared experiences.
