We were lucky enough to have Alvaro David as our tour guide and he was amazing! The food was great and we learned a ton about Cartagena. We learned about how the food we were eating was connected to other cultures in the Caribbean, other South American countries, as well as Africa and Europe! I highly recommend this tour to anyone hoping to try Colombian street food but wants to avoid potentially getting sick. He let us know what to avoid when looking for street food, and we also got to try different flavors of coffee! After the tour, Alvaro even also helped us get a new sim card! Seriously, such a kind and helpful person! 10/10

We had the best experience with Alvaro and Andres. This is not just a food tour but such a great history lesson. I suggest doing it early on your trip because you stop at so many food places you will want to go to again. All the places are locally owned small places and amazing!!

This was a great group tour—not too many people and with enough stops that you probably won’t leave hungry, even if you don’t finish everything. There’s sweet and savory, food and drink. Some spots are stand up and other are sit down. I booked this super last minute after another guide at another company stood me up and I have no regrets at all. Our guide, Mercedes, was friendly, informative, and enthusiastic. My tour started at 1600 and honestly, I should’ve skipped lunch. I saw they had a 1000 tour and for that you would definitely need to skip breakfast!

Phew! After a different tour guide stood me up, I was able to easily book this tour last minute (and it was less expensive) and it was great. I have to admit I was worried when we started—the words shrimp, ketchup, and mayo were uttered and I thought, that sounds terrible! But don’t knock it till you try it! It was super tasty. We then moved on to a selection of sweet and savory options within the old city. Fried plantains, local beer, gourmet coffee, some sweet bread that almost reminded me of a Chinese pastry, delicious soup…come hungry! In fact, that was my o oh complaint. I should have skipped lunch completely because I ran out of room. Our guide, Mercedes, was super friendly and even if you don’t love one dish, there are more options to come!

Robert brought to all the amazing spots for food. We ate street food and sampled from restaurants too. I’m very impressed with the variety of places we went to: street food, coffee tasting, drinks, soup, fruit. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the cheesy bread and soup from two different places. The tour was a little over 2 hours. I highly recommend this tour. You get to know the city and we met some many people on the tour. If your bringing a stroller, understand that the sidewalks are very steep.
