  Had a great time with James and Jacob! It’s such a unique experience with learning about the historical importance of all these locations. I’ve been to Seoul before but did not know the background stories. Also, they make the photoshoot so much fun! We were very awkward during the photoshoot as it’s our first but Jacob and James made it very memorable :)

  Jacob, the photographer, and James, the historian, made a wonderful team for this tour. It's nice because it's not that long, you get to see some local hidden gems and learn about the history behind it, and you get professional photos at the end of it. It was nice to learn about an area that I would never have stumbled upon on my own.

  Before my tour I was informed that the photographer was ill and couldn't come, so they gave me the choice of rescheduling or taking the tour anyway with just the guide who would take the photos instead. I chose to continue anyway and met James at the meeting point. Despite him not being the main photographer, he did a brilliant job taking the photographs and I was really happy with how they looked and it was really fun listening to him talk about the history of each area that we explored, I saw parts of the city I'd have never known about otherwise, so thanks for an awesome time!

  I truly enjoyed this Seoul evening tour and photoshoot; it was both fun and deeply enriching. I learned so much about Korean history from James, our lead tour guide, who is a young historian with remarkable knowledge and an engaging, respectful manner. He made every stop come alive with stories and insights. A big bonus was Jason, who not only shared more fascinating historical details but also took stunning photos that captured the experience beautifully. These photos will be a lasting souvenir and a wonderful memory of an unforgettable session. Highly recommended!

  I had been watching James bong aka korean bong aka the historian on instagram for a while and found out about his tours, my schedule only allowed me to take the this seoul hidden gem tour. James and his photographer buddy jacob led the group and explained to us about the different sites (Jongmyo shrine, Cheonggye stream, both commercial and residential parts) and the pocha stalls along the roadside) in both korean and english. I had never explored certain parts of Ikesendong and was glad that they brought me right to the doorstep of chongsudang bakery which i wanted to visit. They told us stuff about the government wanting to industrialize seoul - made the decision to remove the cheonggye express highway over cheonggye stream (and the multiple benefits) which connected the dots for me (as i had just visited seoul museum of history before this tour) and that we would even visit the sewoon makercity plaza where Vincenzo drama was flimed and that the bridge behind the plaza would connect us all the way to namsam tower, i was really glad that i came today, learnt new stuff about seoul history! Jacob aka lee do took such great photos of all of us, solo and couple shots, awesome experience! Highly recommend this tour and i am looking forward to taking more of korean bong’s tours (gyeongbokgung and euljiro) in the near future!

  I joined the Street Photo Shoot & History Walk last night and I am so glad I did! Our guide was very considerate, he picked me up where I was because I was late for a few mins. The other guide, Jacob, was not only a talented photographer but also a great storyteller — sharing fascinating pieces of Korean history and culture as we explored the streets. I loved how the shoot felt casual and fun, not overly posed, and the photos beautifully captured both the night lights and authentic moments.

  It was a wonderful experience!!! James and Jacob were fun, friendly, professional. We got to explore a lot of hidden gems and learned a lot about history of Seoul that otherwise would not have known. The photo shoot was also great- they helped you pose and made you feel at ease, now have a lot of beautiful photos for memories :)
