Take part in the sunset trek on the Sciara del Fuoco.
Discover this little island of fire in the vast blue sea, and enjoy a fantastic view of the beautiful surrounding landscape.
Meet your guide and depart from Piazza San Vincenzo 2 hours before sunset.
After a safety briefing, begin your hike from a nature trail that takes you to 400 meters, the maximum altitude allowed with a Volcanology guide. Enjoy the spectacular view of the summit craters and the Sciara del Fuoco. During the trek, take breaks to admire the views and also visit the island's old cemetery. Cross the Mediterranean scrub, accompanied by the constant view of Strombolicchio.
Upon the panoramic arrival on the Sciara del Fuoco, admire the sunset that colors the Aeolian archipelago red and observe the volcanic eruptions that illuminate the night sky. Return downhill in the dark, equipped with torches, to the starting point.

5.00Absolutely amazing trip up to 400 metres to see the mini eruptions. The guide took an appropriate route which suited all abilities of the group. Medium route taken up and an easy route back down to the starting point. I waited years to see this volcano but thoroughly enjoyed it and was not disappointed

5.00There was a great view over the island and the neighbouring strombolicchio. The guide was very sympathetic and what he told us rather interesting. The highlight was seeing the eruptions of the stromboli in the nightsky.

5.00Ashara coms highly recommend! If you choose them make sure to ask for the older Giuseppe as your guide. Remember to start the hike by asking Giuseppe what's his favorite volcano. You will the get the best roller coaster of a hike ending with Giuseppe live commenting the flaming volcano! 11/10 hike, education program, Rollercoaster vulcano ride! Have fun!! :)

5.00The track up and down was moderate. Well worth it to see the spectacular bursts of lava at night. The guide was very informative with interesting facts.
