Christian was our tour guide and he was great! communication was great, he answered all kinds of questions and was very knowledgable. You do stop at a realtively small waterfall but it's pretty; I think it's more to break up the drive because it does take about 1 hour 1/2 to get to the coffee farm. The coffee experience was very in depth, the owner is very knowledgable and kind, I learned about the science, economic, consumer, etc side of it but of course we did roast our own beans and grind them and basically make your own coffee. It was fun because you could customize which beans to use and how dark of a roast you wanted. The owner walked us around the grounds and shared his family history; the farm has been in the family for generations. BEST PART; they have a very sweet and adorable dog who's name is Benji- BEST DOG EVER. Afterwards Christian took us to this authentic off the mountain side restaurant where it clearly is only locals; meaning the best food! You order what you want and Christian picked up the bill. I would do this excursion again (but only if you are really into coffee)

My husband and I enjoyed the waterfall and hacienda tour with Tristan. Tristan was very communicative and detailed on tour information. You can really sense the passion behind this tour. For the pickup, Tristan was able to accommodate picking us up and dropping us off at our hotel. After picking up the other group, we set off to our first stop -- the Ciales waterfall. It is a little bit of a hike, but nothing too extraneous. You have the option of jumping in for a refreshing dip. Recommend that you do! This waterfall required no vest. As someone on the shorter side, I was able to stand. From there, we headed to the four-generation Cafe Hacienda Prospiedad. We were offered coffee of your choice and a charcuterie board upon arrival. My husband and I enjoyed our coffee and snack as we took in the beauty of the mountains. After that, Alberto, the owner of the coffee hacienda, gave us a history of coffee in Puerto Rico, coffee facts, a tour of the hacienda, and finished with roasting and brewing our coffee. The tour ended with lively music, good eats, and savory juices at Casa Vieja. Helpful tips: apply sunscreen before (the aerospray can harm the ecosystem), no need for bug spray (no mosquitoee; do not bite), very curvy roads (Tristan informs you when we start, bring nausea pills if needed), bring extra clothes and a towel in case you choose to dip into the waterfall (can change clothes at the hacienda), and bring shoes you do not mind getting wet/dirty.

Truly unique, charming, and educational. Sebas was the best guide! (If you get carsick be prepared for insanely curvy roads.)

Overall to tour was great. The coffee, the waterfall, and the food. I would do this again with my family. The meeting spot and the vehicle was a little sketchy at first but we got picked up on time the vehicle got us there and back. The guide was very cool and knowledgeable about the history. I would still bring my family again. Loved it

Best tour we have ever had, great communication, real flexible. I was asking questions before we even left ny, questions answered immediately making our minds at ease. He was able and willing to change plans during the tour to make it really great for all of us, very flexible. Thanks again, we'll see you again.

This was a wonderful day excursion for me and my teenage daughter! Perfect blend of education, activity, and relaxation. Pick-up was right on time at our condo in a comfortable, clean SUV, with a beautiful ride through the tropical forests of central Puerto Rico. Yes, be forewarned - it's a long, winding route with lots of elevation changes - but really, the vistas are unlike anything you'd see otherwise. We made a brief stop at a lovely roadside waterfall before heading to the coffee farm, where we were treated to a small charcuterie board and a delicious cup of coffee upon arrival. The history of the farm - and coffee and coffee-making in general - was fascinating. I teach as part of my job, and was so impressed by the presentation. The other participants (10 of us in total) asked great questions, so it evolved into something more like an intelligent conversation. Afterwards, on the way home, we stopped by a roadside restaurant for a tasty (and incredibly filling) lunch before being dropped back at our doorstep. Finally, I can't say enough good things about our guide, Sebastian. He was warm, knowledgeable, and just lovely to chat with. A good human being. Never rushed us and made sure we were soaking up every moment of our trip. He truly made the day.

I have been on multiple tours with tranki tours. I would highly recommend using them for your Puerto Rico tours. Tristian is an amazing tour guide. Very knowledgeable about Puerto Rico and a fun person to be with. I will definitely be going on more tours with tranki tours and Tristian .the waterfall is very refreshing the coffee tour is awesome. The amount of time and effort that goes into a cup of coffee is a lot. From picking the beans, cleaning, drying and roasting. This tour shows you everything. Again I highly recommend this tour.

Tristan and John were really great hosts/ guides. My wife and I had a great time. It was a long and fulfilling excursion - with several memorable highlights which were encased by ALOT of views, smells, sights, sounds, feelings, thoughts, and emotions. My wife and I wanted to start our vacation with an excursion that helped us embrace Puerto Rico and it's culture and this one did not disappoint! Highlights were: The car ride to the coffee plantation which offered many views, sights, sounds, friendly discussions, information about the island, history lessons, laughter, and suggestions on places to eat/ things to do for the rest of our trip. Along the way we stopped at a cafe/ roadside restaurant for a special bite to eat which was refreshing and just right for the moment and offered plenty of views. Next we stopped at an " off the beaten path " waterfall which was so much better than we could have imagined. Be prepared to get wet!!!! It was great! Next on the trip was ALOT of driving up hills and twists and turns which offered many opportunities to talk and laugh, many many views, and a chance to experience a touch of what mountain life is like in Puerto Rico. Next was the coffee plantation visit where we were met with a touch of serenity and nostalgic feelings - knowing this is a fourth generation farm. We were able to enjoy a small cup of cappuccino and charcuterie board snacks upon arrival. Then we listened to a small presentation of the history of the farm and history of the coffee. We walked the plantation and learned so much about the harvesting process and even ate a couple beans right off the branches - who knew how juicy they were. Then we concluded the plantation portion of our excursion with roasting, grinding, and brewing our own cup of coffee!!! This was so much fun. Finally - to cap off the excursion, we stopped at a really cool rooftop lunch / dinner establishment on our ride home. The food and atmosphere was a perfect way to top off the day. Thank you Tristan and John for a memorable day!!
