Bou-Saada
Lunch stop in Bousaada, on our arrival around noon, we stop at a local restaurant to have a first taste of the culture, we multiple options and a chance to try the local famous goat or cow cheese.
Musee National Nasr Eddine Dinet
Our first visit will be to the museum of the famous French artist, Etienne Dinet. We discover the city’s history, local traditions and art.
Zaouia El-Hamel
Zaouia El Hamel is a historic religious and cultural site located near the town of Bou Saâda in the M’Sila Province of Algeria. Founded in the 19th century by the revered Sufi leader Sidi Mohamed Ben Belkacem, the zaouia became an important center for Islamic learning, spiritual guidance, and social development. It played a significant role in preserving religious education during the colonial period and continues to be a hub for Sufi traditions and community gatherings. We drive to the old abandoned village
Just 2 km from the center of Bou Saâda lies the scenic ruin of Moulin Ferrero, a 19th-century mill built by Italian industrialist Antoine Ferrero. Nestled in a rocky gorge and fed by a natural stream, the site features lush vegetation, palm trees, and a small waterfall forming a popular natural pool in summer. Surrounded by stone walls and desert landscape, it offers a striking contrast of history and nature. Often used as a film location, including in Samson and Delilah, Moulin Ferrero is perfect for a peaceful walk, photos. A hidden gem blending heritage and beauty.
Bou-Saada
The Maison de l’Artisanat in Bou Saâda is a vibrant, three-level craft center near the historic Hôtel Kerdada. It features local artisans creating and selling traditional items like camel wool garments, copper and silver jewelry, and the iconic Bou Saâda dagger (El Mousse El Bousaadi). Visitors can explore small workshops, watch artisans at work, and shop for handmade souvenirs such as wooden mortars used for the local dish Zviti. The site includes a star-shaped fountain and a traditional restaurant serving regional specialties, it offers a rich cultural experience and a chance to support local craftsmanship.
