Crane

The Crane is one of the defining symbols of Gdansk and represents what little is left of the city's great trading age. Built in the mid-15th century as part of the biggest double-towered gate on the shoreline, it also served to install and remove ships' masts, and to load and unload heavy cargo from vessels docked at the quay. Incredibly, this human-powered device could hoist loads of up to 2000kg, making it the largest crane in medieval Europe.

It was a wonderfull kayak tour with a perfect sunset in the port of Gdansk! Very friendly tour guide, giving valuable information about Gdansk and it's history. Will book it again, next time, we are there!

First time kayaking for us and following this it will definitely not be the last. From the moment we arrived the guide was very warm and welcoming as well as the other travellers. The guide talked us through the equipment and was on hand for any issues. We absolutely loved the tour as first timers - great experience and knowledge about Gdansk. Thank you for a lovely time and don’t hesitate if first timers, you will love it!!

This was an absolute highlight of mine and my friend's trip! Our instructor, Nick, was just brilliant - helpful and friendly, with some great information about the city and advice on other things to do during our trip. We'd never used a double kayak before but got the hang of things pretty quickly and felt very safe. It was also nice getting to know the others in the group. Would certainly recommend, even for novice kayakers 😊

It was such a great little adventure, and a nice break from walking around the city all day. The guide was a really fun and good guide - he knew so much about the city of Gdansk. And to end the trip with the sunset in the harbor was really beautiful, among all the ships, the rust, the seagulls, the cranes and so on. Recommend!!

What amazing , Fabulous adventure. The Kayak Instructor was brilliant from start to finish . I felt a bit nervous to start with and worried . But this brilliant instructor was very clear / understanding and extremely helpful . He had a great calming approach , that made everyone happy . If you want to leave your comfort zone . Please book with the same instructor . You will never forget this amazing experience .
Gdansk from the water should be seen.

Highly recommended! Super friendly kayaking guide Nick from Australia gave safety instructions at the beginning and then it started quickly. It is a nice paddle tour with a fantastic old town setting of Gdańsk and then the port of Gdańsk. Too bad that due to the weather only the approach of sunset could be seen, but was not bad. We always thought it was cool. Thanks Nick for the great tour in Gdansk!
This will give you a unique view of Gdansk from the canals close to water.

Fantastic tour of old Gdansk and the shipyards from the water, and a cracking sunset to top it all off. Simon was an excellent guide both for his kayak instruction and his historical facts.
