Wind down and relax as our captain and crewmates teach you about our elegant schooner and share stories about the history of the lands, people, and waters of the Grand Traverse Bay area. Enjoy complimentary locally sourced food, wine, and cocktails while watching the sunset paint the sky. This is a 2.5-hour sail.
Check-in at our kiosk 30 min before departure. The 2nd Mate will do a brief welcome about 10 min before departure and then will guide all passengers to board Wind Dancer. We have a variety of beverage options including wine, cocktails, local spirits, soda and water. Food is served around 1 hour into the sail. We respectfully request that guests not bring additional alcoholic beverages. Free parking is available at the check-in kiosk, which is located at The Delamar Resort, 615 E. Front Street, Traverse City, MI. Depending on the weather, please bring rain gear/sweaters and non-skid footwear for boating. Tours will be rescheduled if necessary due to inclement weather.

Relaxing Cruise on Traverse Bay

4.00The cruise itself on the sailboat is relaxing and is a nice trip around Traverse Bay. The crew members were very personable and we were lucky enough to have great people in our group. The drinks were delicious and plentiful. Do not come hungry however. The food consists of a small container of crackers, cheeses, nuts and dried cranberries, and some meat logs and slices of lunchmeat. They also give a bag of chips. While the food was not what we were expecting, the rest of the experience was. I recommend this experience, but suggest a snack before and a meal after.

5.00Our senior leadership team had an absolutely wonderful time aboard the Wind Dancer for our team bonding event. From start to finish, Captain Nate was fantastic — his communication beforehand was excellent. We had some weather concerns leading up to the day, and he kept a close eye on things, keeping me updated and reassured. The whole planning process was smooth and easy. The charter itself was amazing. Captain Nate and deckhand Kate were friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. The weather turned out perfect, and we were treated to a gorgeous sunset on a beautiful schooner. The individual charcuterie boards were such a thoughtful touch — filled with local cheeses, dried fruits, and other delicious details that really made the experience special. It was the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and connection for our team. A top-notch crew, a beautiful boat, and an all-around unforgettable evening. Highly recommend the Wind Dancer for any group or special occasion!

5.00Marc and Nate were great hosts! We were pampered with excellent service by skilled sailors. The weather was fabulous and the lit dinner and drinks were just right for the sunset experience! Would recommend!

5.00It most relaxing. It gives you a wonderful time to see the Traverse bay and enjoy good company and conversation. The crew is terrific, they give you service and friendship. The captain is very informative and the crew makes you feel at home. I will recommend this cruise to all my friends

5.00Captain Nate and Captain Mark were excellent hosts. From The history of ship to ins and outs of the bay it was an experience to remember. My group asked a lot of questions and they were eager to answer all of them! We had the perfect winds and weather for an amazing sunset

5.00Such a wonderful sailing experience with our captain Nate and his first mate Kate. Everything from the drinks to the snacks were wonderful. Nate did a great job explaining the history of the 63’ Wind Dancer schooner. It was a memory that will stay with us forever. I highly recommend this cruise!
