Our 2-hour group lesson is perfect for those who want to try surfing for the first time, as well as those who want to improve their technique. IT is not necessary to know how to swim since chest height as deepest,you will be accompanied and guided by trained instructors. Come with your family or friends!! kids less 10 yo and seniors over 50 yo,will need to book a private class to take care of every detail and ensure the best experience in terms of results and safety.
In our class, you will learn the basics of surfing and safety, reading the water, waves and currents, training the technique on land, and then you will go into the water.We recommend that IT be one of the first activities you do, as surfing requires energy, enthusiasm, and a rested body to enjoy it to the fullest!
After the lesson, Just relax in our beach chairs and umbrellas!

Live surfing to the fullest!! Our 2 - hour group lesson + beach day is perfect for those who want to try surfing for the first time, as well as for those who want to improve their technique. Suitable for ages 6 and up, with NO age limit! Based on reservations, there can be 1 to 3 students per instructor, although in the case of children under 10 years old and adults over 50 years old, we recommend booking a private class to take care of every detail and ensure the best experience in terms of results and safety. In our class, you will learn the basic concepts of surfing, reading the sea, and the techniques necessary for quick progress. The lesson schedule is based on the tides, so get in touch with us!! INCLUDE EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO ENJOY IT TO THE MAX!!! - Instructor -Surfboard, you can keep using IT after the class! Rushguard - Sunscreen, in case you forget Theory. - Fresh water - Access to our beach chairs and umbrellas to relax in front of the ocean before and after surfing! 5.00Someone recommended him to me. I was glad to have him as my first surf teacher! He (Joshua; the owner) explains the basics (safety, precautions, how to stand on the surf board) very nicely and helps you understand it very well. It was nice to have this before actually going in the water with the surf instructor. I enjoyed it, everyone is very caring and I feel like they actually enjoy their job and what they are doing. Thank you for helping me with my nerves and first few waves!

5.00I've been coming back to Jaco to surf and this surf school is absolutely the reason why. Joshua and all the others (Orange, Brandon, Thomas, Dennis) are the absolute best and will go out of their way to give you the best experience possible. Their prices are fair and they are very knowledgeable, both in giving beginner lessons as well as giving tips for more intermediate surfers. 5.00We were two young adult beginner surfers (had never surfed before), and we had a GREAT and SUCCESSFUL experience. The intro to the board and basic technique was clear and efficient, allowing us to spend plenty of time in the water. There was a great emphasis on safety, with a a brief warm up/stretching session, zinc face sunscreen, water, and rash guards provided. The team was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend aloha Josi for surf lessons or lounge chair/surfboard rentals!

5.00We had the best time with Josh and his team for our first ever surf lesson! We appreciated the fact that he taught us some of the psychology behind surfing before we even got into the water. I believe this helped us once we got a little wet. My wife and I both successfully caught some waves! This was a great introduction and made us both want to continue trying to practice and learn more! I highly recommend this experience and will always remember it! 5.00The guys at Aloha Josi Surf school are nothing short of amazing!! They really make sure to accommodate to your needs, and the communication is amazing! if you need a break, they work one in. If you want to push yourself harder, they got you. If the board is in the right fit for you, they'll find you a different size that works better for you. I couldn't have asked for better instructors as a first timer!

5.00These guys were great!! My husband and teenage/adult children took lessons. They sat them down and taught them all the basics and safety information. Had everyone stretch and get ready to go! They had a blast in the water and everyone was up in the first 15 minutes!! I excellent half day activity! And mom can watch from the comfy shaded beach chairs or go down and take pictures!
