For added fun and memories that will last a lifetime, take either a 1- or 2-hour surf lesson in Myrtle Beach! With side-by-side guidance, your instructor will show you the ins and outs of surfing to prepare you for the rest of your trip. Your board is provided, just bring your bathing suit for a great time catching some waves.

Our Myrtle Beach surf lessons are led by Jack’s professional surf instructors and are tailored to fit all ages and skill levels. Our CPR and First Aid Certified instructors will ensure not only your safety, but also create and fun and interactive learning environment for each student. So go ahead, check it off your bucket list. Give surfing a try with us. You won’t regret it. Lessons start on land with a 15-20 minute dry training session focusing on proper technique for paddling, popping up, and balance. Once the basics are mastered, ocean safety and water conditions are discussed at the waters edge. Then to the waves we go! The remaining portion of the lesson is spent with your instructor in the water practice everything you just learned on land. Our encouraging and fun instructors will continue working with you on your timing, stance, and positioning in the wave to optimize your success. In no time you will be riding waves and shredding the gnar! You’ll be stoked you caught the surf bug at Jack’s Surf Lessons in Myrtle Beach. We keep a 3:1 student to instructor ratio to make sure everyone gets the attention they need. Please call for private lessons.

The instructors Kev and Evan were fantastic!! They made the experience easy and very welcoming! Wetsuit rental was optional but the water was cold so I definitely recommend, it makes the experience more enjoyable.
Solo surfing at 53 and worth it.

Fantastic experience from start to end. Took our four teens surfing for first time and they did not disappoint. From the moment we booked our lessons we had great clear communication. We were informed about the temperature of the water and provided wet suits to rent which made for great experience. When we arrived we were greeted with such a warm friendly hello. My teens all felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience they all have asked when can they do another lesson. We will be booking again sometime in future.

SUCH a good experience. We have come to Myrtle Beach every summer to the same spot for 13 years and watched Jack's Surf Lessons Instructors work with clients and they always were so encouraging and really taught and helped the clients. Well my family finally got to BE the clients now that the kids were older (8, 11, 13) and Kevin and Em were so amazing! They explained things really well before hitting the water, and even with a crazy undercurrent and wicked waves, all three kids and my husband got up on the board to ride it in. SO many smiles and high fives! I was very impressed and everyone is already asking to do it again next year, but for longer than an hour this time!

My granddaughter had a wonderful time surfing. She was riding the waves all the way to shore. Kevin is an amazing instructor! His enthusiasm for surf inspired my granddaughter to love the ocean and surfing even more than she did before. I highly recommend taking surfing lessons from Jack's.

My kids age 8 and 5 had their first Surf lessons and were both standing up on the board and riding waves quickly. All of the instructors were just incredible and passionate at what they do (Thank you Jennie, Kevin and Paige!) My son was recovering from a wrist fracture, and they constantly checked in on how his wrist was and adjusting if needed. I highly recommend the private lessons, so worth the extra $'s, especially for young children. My kids are hooked.

Me and my God Daughter decided to take the “plunge” and do something outta the norm being from Ohio! Surfing lessons, we met Kev n Maria the instructors and we had two other ppl in our group. WOW….. it was a blast. Me being 65 n my God Daughter being 25 we took it head on. She picked it up in 3 tries and the team was ecstatic as well as the ppl on the beach. Idk we were part of the entertainment that day. I on the other hand not so well but it wasn’t for the lack of encouragement from the team! They had our back, totally felt safe and the experience when you finally stand n make it to shore. Deff a must try ppl. They want you to succeed but w/o jeopardizing your safety and comfort zone. They’re very attentive to this 💯💯. Enjoy life, take the “ plunge” with a new adventure even if you’ll nvr surf again. It’s the memories 💯💯. THANK YOU Kev n Maria for a really fun day wish yall the best in your adventures in life, you truly touched my God Daughters and mine today!
