Explora Watersports offer surf rental from our centre on the beach in Essaouira, if you want to catch the perfect wave and enjoy a moment of peace and tranquillity before you catch the next wave. Surf rental is for available for everyone as long as you can swim and are over 15 years old or are accompanied by an adult, ideally you should have had a lesson before so understand the basics of surfing at a minimum. Surf rental starts from 1/2 a day through to a full week rental. The rental includes your board and wetsuit as well as full use of our facilities (showers / changing room / wifi etc)

Surf Rental is a great way to enjoy time in the sea and catch a few waves. Explora Watersports is lucky to be located right on the beach in front of the best beginner and progression wave spot in Essaouira. The beginner spot is right in front of our centre where the waves are smaller and slower which gives you the chance to pop to your feet and perfect your stance. The intermediate spot is just to the left where the swell is not protected by the island so the waves are bigger and faster. Surf rental starts from 1/2 day through to one week Surf Rental includes your board and wetsuit as well as full use of our facilities (Showers / Changing room / Chill out area and wifi ) Meeting point is Explora Watersports centre on the beach in Essaouira We open from 8am and close at 6pm We also offer surf day trips as well to Sidi Kaouki or Imsaoune We can pick you up from your hotel or riad if required

We rented surfboards, top offer for 4 days. Had top conditions and a great time. The staff is nice and the equipment 1a. Definitely recommendable!

Come here for years! Always good service, very cordial guys. This time I only borrowed stuff for surfing, previous years (from 2017) I always took lessons. You know what to expect, they recognize me now and always welcome me with great cordiality. I will always recommend Explora.

I have never been in Essaouira and the team made me feel at home. With nice people to talk to in the surf school and on the water. Thank you for all the good care. Definitely recommend Explora in Essaouira!

This place is perfectly situated and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is the 2nd time we’ve hired surf boards here and we’ll definitely use them again. Thanks for a great few days on the water!

Plenty of new or nearly new kit with lots of helpful advice from knowledgeable locals Hard to pick out favourites as everyone is good but anas youssef and nasa are a good place to start.

Been to Essaouira quite a few times now and have always gone to Explora. The guys running the place are so helpful and are amazing teachers. I definitely recommend it is you need good quality kit hire or surfing/kiting lessons.
