You probably know the famous phrase, “the die is cast,” but have you ever wondered where it comes from? Well look no further. It was here in Rimini’s Piazza Tre Martiri that Julius Caesar first spoke these three immortal words, just before he started a civil war.
There are traces of the great empire that followed all over Rimini, including the Arch of Augustus, the Roman Amphitheatre, the home of a second century Roman doctor and the Bridge of Tiberius. But we won’t only explore ancient Rome on this self guided audio tour. There’s plenty from the fascinating Italian medieval period and the Renaissance that put Italy once again on top of the world, including the impressive but unfinished Malatestiano Temple, and the austere Sigismond Castle.
You’ll find all of this in a city that isn't even famous for its architecture and history, but for its sandy beaches, exciting nightlife and the hills, fun parks and historical castles that are just a short drive inland.

Who doesn't like surprises? I tell you one: a group of friends very fans of social dancing as so many visitors in Benidorm, we went on Wednesday to the terrace-pool of the Helios hotel, for that time of dancing dinner and bed. And the surprise was that the so-called "pinchadisco" was an artistry of sympathy and charisma that is not paid in any way. He doesn’t know English, nor does he miss it, he makes everyone laugh only with what he has left of grace and comes out naturally. Was she a cheerleader? It's called Lucia and it's a charm that tears smiles off everyone and leaves us happy to get into bed. And it is not only an opinion, that the majority clientele of Britons remained beyond 23:30 at their tables without running away as is traditional in those of that nationality. Lucia, don't forget. Another level of entertainment.

For €40 per person and the dishes do not arrive or when you order two seaweed dishes, one arrives 10 minutes later and the second 45 minutes later, however those from another table are placed on yours without comment and without smiling either and to clear the empty plates they pass with a trolley like in the canteen. I promise you that we made comments when we left but we won't come back two tries two completely wrong too bad it's good but we didn't come to eat in a self catering restaurant

I was exploring Rimini by myself while my husband was at a conference. So I was very happy to find this tour on Tripadvisor. I enjoyed the walk & the info and was also happy with the occassional virtual ‘tap on the shoulder’ telling me I was heading in the wrong direction 😉.

Liked that it exploded parts of the seaside that not documented. Loved connecting with my roots. My mother and family were from Rimini.
