What a great tour! I thought this was a fantastic way to try out some Taiwanese street food and learn more about Taiwanese culture. Our guide, Cyndi, was so much fun! I went on my own and ended up in a group of about 7 which was perfect. I would 100% recommend this tour and would love to come back with friends!

Alejandra was an amazing food tour guide. Her point of view of being a foreigner (from Colombia) who now lives in Taiwan offered very valuable insights in the life and culture of the Taiwanese people through the food scene in the night market. She took us to a variety of food places, one of which was a Michelin star restaurant, Wang's Broth. The food was delicious and the people in my tour group were engaging, which made it more fun. I highly recommend this food tour, especially my tour guide Alejandra.

The Night Market and Convenience Store tour was fun, informative, and well organized. Our tour guide, Sunny Huang, contacted us beforehand via WhatsApp to confirm the meeting place and sent us a useful link to google maps so we could not miss. We first toured the Huaxi Street Night Market, which was just a short walk from the MRT Longshan Temple Station. Our first stop and an early highlight was the Oyster Omelette stand. Sunny took great care to explain the preparation of the different foods and their significance in local culture. She also gave her explanations a personal touch by telling us about her own experiences and memories associated with the food items. You could tell that she loved what she was doing and that she herself enjoyed each and every item we tasted. The braised pork rice, the scallion pancake and especially the peanut & ice cream wrap were our personal favorites. Afterwards Sunny even sent us photos she took during the tour. Sunny was an enthusiastic, entertaining and knowledgeable guide who made the tour truly memorable.

Leo was so exceptional and the food tour was perfect bites of things I’ve never would have tried if I went out by myself in Taipei. Loved the stories Leo would share and appreciated his ratings on snacks to bring home. I bought so much cilantro Doritos. Can’t wait to share with family! Definitely would recommend this tour!

Leo is an engaging tour guide. We tasted a wide range of dishes, ranging from yam balls to Doritos to stir-fry to bao to stinky tofu. We visited during the Lunar New Year week, so the market was busier and some stalls were closed; the guides pivoted to make the tour work. We stopped at one restaurant for several courses and some beer, which was a nice interlude. Try everything, and come hungry!

Cornelia, our guide was first class. Would have liked to have seen a few more classic Taiwan dishes on the tour like beef noodle soup or seafood but there was oyster omelette, soup dumpling, braised pork on rice, scallion pancakes and stinky tofu. Overall it was worthwhile but could have been so much more.
