our tour is offered at the heart of a subtropical forest through private access and completely away from crowds. Following old trails left by our ancestors, we will arrive at the majestic Tanama River. Huge limestone formations and thousands of springs that surround the Tanama river walls will be our scenery as we hike during our excursion. During our trek, we will visit and explore the river banks, and caves while you are refreshing yourself at the Tanama River water. Immersed in our tour, interpretation, and story-telling will give you a more complete experience. After trekking through the river, we will retur tubing down the river in the calm waters until we reach more natural pools. We welcome you in exploring this hidden gem and offering you a locally rich and truly unique adventure.

A complete adventure! Good physical condition is required. Appreciate nature in a fun and educational way through many activities like hiking, cave exploring, river tracking, rock climbing, cliff jumping(optional), body rafting, free pictures,all safety equipment and much more. You will start out with a hike through the Tanama Forest located in the Northern Limestone Region of Puerto Rico. You will hike in the forest until reaching the Canyon. We will go floating down stream in favor of the current crossing huge natural cave tunnels passing mountains from one side to the other and relax yourself in the calm and delightful Tanama River waters. Here you will appreciate several natural water springs and incredible landscapes that this paradise provides. 5.00Amazing trip! We really enjoyed everything about our day. It is a serious workout! Bring water and the snack, prepare in advance. Don’t bring water shoes/sandals you need shoes that have a grip for hills and rocks you encounter on the river. You need a waterproof backpack and phone case or you won’t be able to bring anything with you. You not only get wet, you are submerged in water sometimes in places too deep to stand so you’ll have to swim. We felt safe with helmets and life vests but it is a little intimidating at first. We hiked up and floated back down which was really nice, saw lots of animals/critters, and learned some history. All in all, very fun and memories we’ll cherish forever. So grateful to our guide Cesar! We will probably do it again and bring our family in the future.

5.00This was what I wanted for my birthday and dream fulfilled. I recommend them all, whether they come to visit PR or live in P.R. Our island is beautiful and this experience should be considered first. When you register they give you all the details including the pin of the meeting place, which if it works. From that meeting place we all leave together to the area where we leave our vehicles. In this area there is no signal anymore, for the safety of your cell phone they recommend you to leave it but I take it and I do not regret it because I was able to shoot many more photos. You don’t need a 4x4 vehicle as the cars get into that area. For this experience you must be able to walk without difficulty as we go up and down very steep slopes, they are sloped and there are areas where there are ropes for you to hold. You have a helmet and lifeguard at all times. The experience is very safe. We enter a cave that is small where you only have to bend down a little but you can walk it. On the descent we do it with the tubes and it was also safe and fun, nothing to fear. I don’t know how to swim well and there is only one area you have to swim across the river, I let them know and they were attentive. The water has current that is felt when we cross the river from side to side but with the tube it did not feel strong at least in the area and day we did the tour and that gave me peace of mind. However, the water is cold and since we are a long time, long-sleeved clothes and long pants should be considered as it will help you. One thing that if I recommend them is to wear gloves since it will be easier to hold on to the rocks or ropes, thankfully my husband had one and I loaned it and it was a great help. José was our tour guide and was very pleasant and told us about the history of the river and also shot us photos, which I send us at no cost. Anyway an experience with beautiful views totally spectacular.

5.00Soo much fun! Have to be in pretty good shape the hike up the hill at the end is killer. We did it in water/ barefoot shoes, they were good for the whole thing. Would definitely do it again! The guid was great.

5.00Excellent group, Jose, Omar & César were exceptional! They maintain the group entertained and at the same time educated on everything about the Tanamá River. They look every time for the group safety but the meantime they maintain the adventurous feeling. Highly recommended!!!

5.00We had an absolutely amazing time with Tanama River Cave Tubing! From start to finish, Jose and his crew of guides were outstanding knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly passionate about what they do. You can truly feel the care and love they have for their work, the river, and the experience they create for visitors. They were full of fascinating information about the area and its history, while also keeping the day fun with plenty of laughs and great jokes along the way. This was a highlight of our trip, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Rico! The Hike is real so be prepared physically and mentally to go up and down some steep cliffs. Cant Wait to come back to do it all over again Parking: So we were wondering to either uber here or bring our rental but we were concerned where to park. The point located on the map is where you will meet Jose or your other guide and follow them down into the starting point in your vehicle which will be parked on a separate property, it’s just because there’s no cell phone signal that we meet at the maps location. So Glad We Did not Uber

5.00This was a once in a life time experience! I thought it was going to be a simple tubing down a river trip but it was a challenging hike that put us Treading through the river, in bat caves and THAN we tubed back to the starting point on the river. The tour guides were funny and knowledgeable and kept you safe on a lot of the slippery rocks in the river. Caution! Wear water shoes or hiking boots! Do not wear your regular shoes. They will get wet and Muddy! You are walking into chest deep river water with your shoes. All in all 10/10 experience
