Skydive amongst mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers and ocean views. Skydive Franz has New Zealand’s highest mountain Aoraki/Mount Cook and the biggest glaciers Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers immediately on the right and the wide blue ocean on the left. Multiple departure times. Allow 3 hours for your tandem skydive experience.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

Please wear warm lightweight clothes and secure shoes (preferably with laces)

This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

Subject to favourable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

Tandem skydiving is the fastest, easiest and safest way for an inexperienced skydiver to enjoy the thrill of jumping out of a plane, free falling through the sky at 200kph/120mph and floating safely to the ground under a parachute. Love, Love, Loved it! First timer 16,500 feet! Buy the photo package, you’ll regret it if you don’t. Thank you to Jordi and Jordy, great job, the parachute opened and video and photos are a great memory of my 68th birthday.🥳❤️🥂

It was worth the wait! I got initially booked on a cloudy morning day and got rebooked on the next day in the afternoon, and I am so happy the weather cleared up and I could see mount Cool even! Despite some miscommunications was very professional and I had a great time jumping from 16,500 feet. Would do it again!

What an absolutely amazing experience!! The two ladies working at Skydive Franz are absolutely lovely and were excited as we were. Unfortunately after going up in the plane in the morning we had to land as cloud came rolling in, so we were rescheduled for in the afternoon. Although it was pretty nerve wracking it actually made me feel calmer for the afternoon and the team were all so nice and encouraging about it. Put it this way - we had a little scenic flight too! The actual skydive was just incredible, it was my first time and I felt so safe and can’t wait to do more skydives in the future now. If you can stretch your budget I’d highly recommend having the full video package, having footage and pictures of me skydiving in front of the insane backdrop is so special, as skydives are over so quickly it’s nice to have something to show others and to watch back and remember. Thank you team!!

Sooooo glad I went with Franz for my first skydive adventure! The views and pictures I received were PHENOMENAL!!!! I LOVED my tandem instructor Robbie. I felt safe and secure the whole time with him at my back. Thank you SkydiveFranz for an amazing first but not last skydive adventure. 💙💙💙

They put you at ease. My tandem guide was Riley he was super professional and reassuring. The set up and check in was straight forward. The video was really good quality and awesome to see riley doing a backflip and spin when we left the plane. Made for some great photos

Disclaimer: We couldn't do the skydive due to crappy weather BUT... Am specifically writing this comment to commend the team at Sky Dive FJ. We had been in Franz Joseph and Fox for a couple of days. Despite our Skydive getting cancelled due to bad weather, the team constantly helped us every step of the way to get a dive in. We must have bugged them over and over again and still they tried their level best to help us do other activities yet keep us in front of the line and informed about our potential dive. Given that this jump is likely to guarantee stunning views and has the nicest team we have come across, this is a must do for anyone for the entire experience. Shouts to both Lilly and Sandy who went out of their way to help us and take back tremendous goodwill despite not getting to jump. Thanks guys.

After three days of waiting (because of bad weather) we finally got to jump. It was for me and my girlfriend our first time. We wanted to jump from 20 000 ft but it was to cold up there (-32° brrrr) so we could 'only' jump from 16 500. The staff was really helpful and professional. We loved it. Both nervous but after jumping out of the plane, all the stress disappeared. We took the video and photo option. And it is really worth the money. Thanks again.

Kelly was so good! I had so much fun, the whole team from the office to the sky were so welcoming and just overall amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone! Camera man Mattis was awesome too! Thanks to everyone! See you again very soon!

I had an amazing skydive with a 70 second free fall on my recent trip to NZ. The instructors are very confident and have a relaxed demeanor which made me feel comfortable on my first skydive. They were straight to the point about everything that I really had no questions. My guide was totally helpful and awesome. She led me through everything and was so cool and collected about it all. I absolutely loved my video and photos that I received the next day. I would highly recommend that if you want an inexplicable, thrilling experience with amazing views, then go with this particular company in Franz Josef. I would also recommend to get the video with the photos bundle because they turned out amazing! You really won't regret it. This is a memory that will be at the top of my list forever!
