Mohammad was our driver who handled the first part of the tour. He took us to places explaining what we would see. He was informed and excellent guide. Mohamwis(spelling) was our walking tour guide. He was a walking encyclopedia of tangier. Wonderful tour! He was receptive to showing many places in the area. Understanding all the cultures that settled in Morocco and migrations out at different points was fascinating. This was an excellent tour!

The tour was good but somewhat disorganized. The tour consisted of 2 parts. The first part was a minivan and driver, Youssef, who was very enthusiastic and helpful but unaware that there would also be a walking portion of the tour following the driving part. As far as he knew the driving part was our whole tour and he would return us to our starting point at the end. It was only after another person insisted that this was not the tour we had signed up for that he called his office and found out that another guide would be meeting us after the driving portion to take us on a walking tour of the medina. The second guide was more knowledgeable and informative, and spoke better English but basically said he'll take us wherever we want. Since most people in the group were hungry at this point, he took us to a restaurant for lunch (not included in the price). The restaurant was good but the service was very slow and we were there over 1.5 hours. By the time we finished lunch there was hardly any time left before we had to return to our ship. Also, some of the people on our tour wanted time to go shopping so the guide took us to a spice shop. My husband and I were not interested in shopping so the guide quickly showed us the way back to the ship. There was no time for visiting the Moshe Nahon Synagogue or the Tangier American Legation Museum as had been promised in the tour description. We ended up just walking quickly back to the port, which was quite disappointing.

The tour covers almost all of the main attractions (except the port and the tombs). It’s a good introduction to Tangier and the surrounding area. Transportation was an air‑conditioned minivan, and the driver spoke both English and French. I would have liked more time at the lighthouse and its museum — we only saw them from a distance and couldn’t enter the grounds or the lighthouse itself.

We had a large group and honestly - best investment we could have made for the day. Yoseff was incredible. He picked us up promptly and had bus big enough for all of us. He spoke really well and was telling us about all the sights to see, the major hits for Cap Spatel, Camels, Hercules Cave, and where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. He treated not only my extended family very well but treated my personal children as his own. Offering local treats and even throwing them on his shoulders and walking the beach. I never once felt my family group or my wife and children were anything but Yoseff’s own family. It was the highlight of the trip and cannot recommend this enough. He took incredible care of us. Yoseff - ¡tu eres el hombre!

The tour was very good. The van had great air conditioning and the guide brought us all waters and a little gift. Jouseph was very helpful and showed us many of the main attractions. His English was very good but we lost a bit of communication in how long the tour would be and when lunch was going to be. He kept talking about our "tour guide" and it was confusing, because we thought HE was our tour guide. After four hours, Omar took over. He was very helpful but at that point some of the people just wanted to go back to the ship. He was amazing with the left over guests, brought them to a fabulous restaurant and gave them lots of good information. The camel ride was a highlight. Lots of fun but we did have questions about how humanely the animals were treated.

First our guide Yousef was excellent. However there some problems: there was some confusion about the length of the tour. In your description of the tour there was no mention that after the bus tour we’d be handed off to a different tour guide (who by the way was mediocre). Also it wasn’t explained what things we would have to pay for ( like lunch and the caves of Hercules) so we didn’t bring euros. Also they weren’t specific enough about where the van would pick us up. However the sites where Yousef brought us were really terrific.

Youssf Nebkhout and Omar Baitar were my tour guides and they were amazing!! Youssf brought great energy with music and his mom’s yummy cookies. Omar took us to this wonderful restaurant. He was very knowledgeable. My mother and I enjoyed the history and winding through the Medina with him and our group.
