All of our food experiences will be backed up by everything behind their origins and so we are doing a cultural trip around the island learning facts like why do we love using spices from all over the world, why we use vinegar instead of rice, why our milk is some of the best in the world or why our white wine grapes have an unusual golden color.

Food is something we really are passionate about and it only makes sense we start sharing it with our guests! We've successfully mixed our highlight tour around the island with some of the best food, snacks and drinks our island has to offer. All of our food experiences will be backed up by everything behind their origins and so we are doing a cultural trip around the island learning facts like why do we love using spices from all over the world, why we use vinegar instead of rice, why our milk is some of the best in the world or why our white wine grapes have an unusual golden color. This tour takes us to the island highlights, from the best viewpoints to amazing lava natural pools, to historic towns and bays. An island forged by brave people who struggled to have everything we have today but also left us with all of this amazing heritage.

Breakfast: We start by a having an amazing Pastry tasting and learning about the island rich history behind all the convents and nuns who developed the island sweet traditions.

We will have an amazing brunch at the cheese factory, allowing us to try all of their cheeses with our amazing bread!

Alcatra! That's all you need to remember and something you won't forget. It's a pot roast stew cooked for over 6 hours slow and low with a lot of wine and different spices.

Icecream! We're going to the icecream factory and try their big variety made with local ingredients and most of all with our happy cow milk!

Our islands have an amazing variety of fruits and so it's only natural we make liqueur from it, so let's try them!

Wow! We just finished our food tour, and I am absolutely blown away. This was our THIRD time visiting the Azores, and we thought we knew the islands pretty well. We were wrong! First, our guide was SUPERB. I can't praise them enough. They were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. They told us so many fascinating stories and details about Azorean history, culture, and nature that we had never heard before. It felt like discovering the islands all over again, but this time with an expert friend. Truly top-notch! Second, the FOOD and DRINKS! Every single stop was a delight. Everything we tasted was just delicious, from the local cheeses and pastries to the amazing regional dishes and drinks. It was all so fresh and authentic. We left feeling happily stuffed and with a real taste of the local flavors. Ooooh, it was SO tasty! Finally, a special mention for the vehicle. We were so comfortable! The car was excellent—clean, modern, and spacious. It made traveling between stops an absolute pleasure. One Small Suggestion: The only tiny hitch was figuring out the pickup. We booked through Viator and had to write separately to see if pickup from our hotel was available, as it wasn't listed. It would be super convenient if more hotel pickup options were added directly to the Viator listing. But honestly, that's a minor detail. The tour itself was 10/10 perfect. We cannot recommend this experience enough. It's a must-do for anyone visiting the Azores, whether it's your first time or your third!
