I'm sorry leaving you with a 2 star review Mark, but I think that the tour could have been better structured and more in-depth. To me it's clear that you have a lot of knowledge about many different things concerning Salamanca and history in general, but to me the tour felt like walking alongside buildings and viewing points, with you mentioning anecdotes about the buildings. After two hours of walking I still feel like I don't really understand Salamanca's history. I think the tour can be improved with you explaining Salamanca's history briefly first and then using this as a scaffold when talking about the buildings later. I hope you can use my comment to improve your tour and I'm sorry for not being upfront about my criticism in the tour itself but just leaving a 5 star review doesn't feel good either.

We enjoyed a walk around the outskirts of old town learning about the history and seeing sites off the beaten path. We truly enjoyed our guide and he was very informative. Highly recommend

A great walking tour of the city with a very knowledgeable guide. We learnt so much and saw sites and historic buildings we would not have found.

It ended up that I was the only one that showed up, so had a great private tour. Mark is an excellent tour guide. Very informative and knows the history well of Salamanca. So the whole historic area which includes the University.

Mark was very knowledgeable on Salamanca and gave us a really good understanding of the place. Being English meant there was no language issues.

It was expensive for what it was. Also needs to be much more pacey. It took a long two and a half hours when one hour would have been plenty. Mark, our guide, was pleasant but a more structured tour with a bit of an introduction as to what we would be seeing would have improved the experience. It felt like a wander round and a chat. However, it gave us a starting point as to how we might spend the rest of our visit.

Mark was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable about Salamanca and it’s history. There was no way to fully appreciate the sites without the local understanding.

It was great that we were a small group and could ask lots of questions, Mark was very knowledgeable and could relate the questions we asked back to places from our own experience There was loads of information, but felt more like having an interesting conversation with a friend rather than a lecture from a guide book. Learnt a lot about Salamanca and thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Mark was a very knowledgeable guide and knew so much..Previously we had seen so many people with walking guide tours and. The groups were too large and the people looked glum not the case with Mark.after our tour we were able to return to different parts of Salamanca and enjoy on our own at leisure.Price wise value for money .No hesitation to recommend this tour with really friendly person well done Mark and thanks for making the trip special and memorable.Stephen H
